It is definitely not TDC sensor since when it fails, car won't run at all when the fault is present. I had this fault on mine.

if you have an ODBII port (2001 and later) then reading codes is easy, just get one from e-bay you wont look back. even if its the older ones there is a thread some where how to read the codes, makes all the difference, trying to guess whats causing the error is not sensible with a car like this.

Yeah, I get a CEL but clear it with the resets. Must get a code reader!

TDC sensor might be a good call. I'm reluctant to believe it's TB or PP as they've just been done/checked by Mike.

Thanks,
Steve.

Thanks will do. Would anybody like to suggest one? Otherwise I'll just do a search and randomly go for something reasonably cheap.
In any case it looks like a trailer ride back to MaseratiShed for me.

try this one

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Autel-Ma...979136&hash=item33dc5d4c10:g:qcgAAOSwR6RaIgPp

I have one of these and it simple and gives you the meaning of the standard codes and fits in the glove compartment!

I also bought a wifi ODBII adapter and run this with my phone using software called dash command, and that works too, a little less simple to get set up but a few good toys in the software that are fun to play with, like fuel consumption and G forces, and also logging of engine parameters with a graph so you can record how the engine behaved during a particular time. You can also build live dashboard displays which is fun if you like that sort of thing.

in my case I have those 2 same errors and the throttle body is damaged

In the Maserati3200.net Shop about the Throttle bodies there are 4 options:

1ª opcion https://www.maserati3200.net/.../maserati-3200-throttle...
2ª opcion https://www.maserati3200.net/.../maserati-3200-throttle... (Maximum air flow is typically 7% higher than Maserati OEM parts)
3ª opcion https://www.maserati3200.net/.../refurbished-original...
4ª opcion https://www.maserati3200.net/.../maserati-3200-throttle-body (Maximum air flow is typically 7% higher than Maserati OEM parts)

I don't know which option to choose..... any help?

Sorry my choices have left you confused sir!! I am trying to create options in terms of cost, and I think the converted used Volvo option is the lowest cost and often the best end product, I have one of these in my car.

The build level at the end of the day is pretty similar on them all, and the driving experience pretty much the same too, the additional air flow is most often not as high as 7%, more typically 2-3% and so the difference in the real world is minimal. The cheapest option is the converted used Volvo units with your own unit as a trade in. I also have original Maserati units that have been stripped and rebuilt these are more expensive than the Volvo units and lastly I have throttle bodies that have been remanufactured by Volvo and I have converted these for use with the Maserati 3200, these are the most expensive. I sell more of the converted used Volvo units than anything else so they are the most popular.

If you are fussy about authenticity then the re-built originals are probably what you need.

I can also repair your own one, if you like, although that can cost more than a replacement sometimes depending on what's wrong with it. Getting your own unit repaired is often the slowest option too, as it takes time for me to get it and do the work.

Hope this helps and PM me if you have more questions happy to help.
