No sound from speakers

I currently have no sound from the speakers in my '14 Granturismo. The stereo / navigation screen functions seem fine and I have even tried connecting / disconnecting bluetooth, pressing mute on/off, making / receiving calls but still no luck with any sound via speakers at all.

Racking my brain to think what it could be - I know that I pressed the voice command button (never used before) last week so maybe have done something here? And also about 10 days ago I had to use jump leads to start the car as battery was flat in a car park with no-where to plug in my trickle charger - wonder if a fuse could have blown somewhere but then the stereo system itself is working fine, it just seems to be the speaker output that is not functioning.......

Any help / suggestions will be gratefully received!

Hi
I've literally just had this morning driving to work. All showing as working but no sound.
You've probably already done just by using the car. I got to work left it an hour or so and restarted the car. The maserati logo appears on screen and its kinda restarting. The speakers then had sound.
Have you checked ths fuses for the amp.
Might have blown one jumpstarting?

Thanks Jim, it is now 3 days without sound so the hope of it sorting itself is dwindling.

Any idea which fuse for the amp? A quick google suggests that fuse 6 in the Luggage Compartment (boot) is for 'Radio Amplifier' so I will check that one out first.

If this fails, maybe I will try disconnecting the battery overnight and then re-connecting tomorrow to see if it helps (is this what people on the forum refer to as an 'Italian reset'!?!?)

Hi
Three days! These cars are great but frustrating at times!
Yes I believe its in the boot.
I've been advised to disconnect battery to try and reset the electric handles on the doors ( they have never worked since I purchased the car 3 months ago)
Only manual work.
Will try it when I build up the nervd to do it! Lol

Hi
Did you get your speakers to work? If so what was the issue?
I ask because mine stop working some mornings then on restarting the car a few minutes later everything is ok.
Just wondered if you had learn't anything further?
Thanks
Jim

Mine has played up though don't recall the exact issue but strangely pressing the CD eject button did the trick on a more than one occasion.

Maybe worth checking the fuse on the back of the unit:

60959

Sound issues with an otherwise functioning 4200 NIT have been traced to a blown fuse.

Is it a Bose system? May be the amp (located in the left hand side of the trunk. Let me know as I upgraded my sound system and have my old unit lying around.

Hi
Yeah its the Bose system.
Its really weird this morning it worked.
I wondered whether it was a power thing.
Today I started car and waited then turned on radio, then lights, then heated seat etc.
You get the picture. Would a voltage drop knock out the system. I have no idea about such things. Could be pointless znd ig is infact random.

Will have to do some research. Had saabs for years so even though I dont have the skills of a mechanic you get to know a car and learn about them. Only had this car about 3 months

Might be worth having that. Your system must sound great if its upgraded. I thought the Bose was amazing. What did you want for it. See if its worth having as backup

Hi all
Right the speaker saga continues.
Everything works great. Volume can be adjusted. If music is on and I turn on sidelights all ok. Put on mainbeam ( dipped not full ) then volume on stereo can no longer be adjusted, neither can bass, treble etc.
I need to see if i run the car for longer if it still happens. My fear is it will. Not an issue in the summer. But now nights drawing in it is.
Thinking voltage issue. It must drop when lights go on.
Going to try to have main lights on ( thats dipped not full ) and then turn the stereo on see if it still occurs.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated
