I interested to learn if the Magnetti Marelli NIT, pulled from my 2005/6 4200, can be repaired, and if so, whether this would be cost effective...
Does anyone know if there are any repair specialists with experience with these units..?

You are right, it’s the (slightly) newer stuff. A car stereo repair place might be able to help, depending what the fault is.
