Hi all
just joined the Maserati owners club - with a recent dream purchase of a lovely grancabrio sport.
I have been watching these battery posts with interest and bated breath. Left in garage for one week (after a long motorway drive to get it home) and when trying to start just a clicking, flashing dial lights and host of error messages. Battery flat-managed to replace with a new one and all seems wonderful, error messages gone.
No power outlet in garage so a bit worried if it can’t hold charge for at least a week I wouldn’t be able to get a trickle charger to it.
They should be able to hold charge for a week surely? Planning to check it in a couple of days- in case.

GC’s are lovely cars. You’re not alone with battery drain, disconnect it when left is my advice. They are very power sensitive.

Ooh I like that. Suspect it has red carpets. Looked very very nice in the advert.
Power drain - they come with a navtrak system which has a built in battery that goes after a few years meaning the car battery is flattened quicker when car is left - could be that?
On mine (2014) you can disconnect the negative battery cable dead easy but it does lose any fault codes stored. Battery conditioner a good idea but it was struggling to keep up on mine.

Thanks all. Are the fault codes an issue if all’s working well? Will think about disconnecting if not using for week. well spotted - Yes, red carpets very lovely.

Fault codes - wouldn't worry about it. I've hardwired an Optimate cable into the boot.
Another option I've used is an ebay 12v solar panel feeding into the garage, the voltage control and quality of charging might not be up to Optimate standards though!
