Hi all, Newbie here looking for a MC Stradale. Thinking of selling my 993 for one. Anyone know of a lovely MC Stradale for sale? Any 2 seat ones!?

Usual advise - Talk to Richard Grace.

Personally I do not really see the point of the 2 seat strads. The car is of a size and design which makes sense to have 4 seats.

Good luck

Welcome Newbie (Jason?). I miss my 993 (sold it a few years ago with 232k miles on it). Had an MC Strad (4 seater) for a year and loved it. Certainly much more of an occasion and better sounding than any 911! I would start with Richard Grace, who is the market expert in the world Maserati and he may even be able to source but will provide sound advice for sure.

Can you send me some details of your 993? (By PM is you prefer)

The chap that bought my 2 seat Strad was thinking of selling it, having bought a Giulia GTAm. I think he's undecided currently, but I could put you in touch.

Unless you really need the back seats (which I assume you don't, if it's a car to replace your 993), there's no point in going for the 4 seat Strad (unless that's all that is available, as they are more common). The 2 seat was how the original Strad was devised and is more of an event to drive.

ideally it’d be a 2 seat as I agree, they do feel a little more of an ‘occasion’

As a Porsche fanatic, and an owner of a Gransport, you will regret getting rid of the 993. I could not part with my 996 Turbo, ever.

The Porsche 993 values will climb again, unless yours is in need of expensive corrosion repairs and a top-end engine overhaul. If it is a manual car, your regret will likely be more. You cannot compare a Porsche to Maserati - they are different and unique in their own ways.

Personal opinion obviously.

I still lust after my manual 997.2 that I sold during lockdown.

GranTurismo just doesn’t corner like a 911.

Its anything but needing repairs, I've spent nearly £20k on it in the past 2000 miles. Its likely the best one in the country and only 54k miles. I'm not comparing the two. I've a 240z that i'm rebuilding, which will be for narrow B roads, I just want something that doesn't feel the same and will free up cash towards other toys! :)
