Mine bleeps ...... and finishes the a couple from the rear as I assume it's checking the parking sensors.

Pretty sure this is your back-up battery in the Tracker knackered. Remove Tracker

Why is the tracker so randomly located, no one appears able to categorically state where it will be found on any particular model. How many opinions are there as to where it is located on a 4200.

When you lock the car press and hold the lock button until you hear a beep. The alarm is then still turned on, but interior sensors disabled, will prevent the alarm going off every time it rains, or someone sneezes within 25m of the car.

UPDATE

My pride and joy has been in for a full inspection at Autofficina and the results seem pretty good. I’ve attached the report here. Some stuff to do, as expected, but they think the car is sound. Mechanic commented on the excellent condition of bodywork and especially interior. Booking her in to get some of the work done under warranty soon. Any comments/advice on what needs doing.

I’ve driven over 500 miles in her so far (she’s a daily driver) and much of that has been in heavy traffic. The fan issue is that the low-speed fan doesn’t work so the high-speed one kicks in instead. Temp never higher than low 90s but the fan makes a bit of a racket.

My experience so far has been utterly joyous. When the opportunity arises that engine just pulls and pulls to silly speeds in no time. And the noise, even on standard exhaust, is fantastic. The family fits in easily (me, missus, 7yo and 3yo) and the kids love it.

I understand that my car is one of about 200 RHD manual 4200s, is that right? Anyone know how many other facelift, manual, RHD exist?
