Hi all, recently purchased a 1998 QP iv V8, previous owner had it for 23 years! Have done a few jobs to bring it back to life after a 14 years hibernation only coming out once a year for MOT and service.
So far I'm loving the car and all its quirks!

Congrats on a very rare car! Not sure how many QP V8’s were sold in the UK in 1998, but I suspect only a handful.
In those days, Meridien Modena were the importer, with Myles Aldous one of the mechanics. He’s now the chief Maserati man at Emblem Sportscars in Poole, and I strongly recommend you have him take a look at your car to check it over. No one knows these cars better than him.
BTW, is your car manual or auto?
Oh, and if you ever drive it to London, don’t forget to pay the ULEZ fee (something I forgot when taking mine up a fortnight ago!).

Thanks, it's an Auto. This one was sold new by Meridien, then returned to Meridien and was sold to the last owner in 2000. Since then it has been maintained mostly by them, some of the service invoices make interesting reading! it now has 44k miles on the clock and drives lovely, so far :)

Welcome to the forum Baz. Lovely looking QP, you don't see many 4s. The Gandini rear wheel arch is nice quirky styling touch.
Hope you have many happy miles in it.

An auto V8 from 1998 - snap!
Near Fareham is Mike, at the Maserati Shed. He looked after my car for the last decade or so, though now it’s in the hands of Emblem. But if ever you need a local and knowledgeable pair of hands, Mike would be the man.

Yep. The 4's arches is what first got me looking at massers in the 00's. Always remember seeing and hearing a red V8 4 in a retail car park. Stunning
