Hi guys. Newbie here and to the Maserati GT .
ive recently purchased a 2009 GTS but have a couple of warning lights come on but disappear again. There not on for long and the car had been in storage for a while.
The warnings are check Transmission (which I don’t sound good) and check ASM lights. The car is running sweet and read somewhere it may be the battery. Cheers

Welcome. Pics of the new car are obligatory!

Warning lights that come and go are often a sign of the battery needing replacing, for peace of mind, it's probably the first thing to do.

Someone with more knowledge will be along shortly to clarify.

Where are you based?

Welcome, great looking car. As others have said, battery is your first go to option. Just replace it for peace of mind. These cars don’t like standing still after which various lights often appear.

Nice motor, I had the convertible version in the same colours and carbon trim for my 1st Maserati. New battery and then a trickle charger if you haven't already got one.

Welcome.

Most issues resolved with the classic IT response of "Turn it off and the on again" or a new battery.

Thanks guys. They haven’t came back on now after driving for a couple of days. Hopefully that’s that

Welcome to the forum and wonderful world of Maserati ownership. You'll never look back!!

I had similar issues with my GTS, replaced the battery, and nothing since doing that.

Welcome to the forum, being an engineer of the electronic variety, I'd give the battery a bl00dy good charge first before condemning it. They give the car a bl00dy good Italian tune up.
Then if you are still getting Issues Tayna , EuroCarParts (the DFS of Motorfactors- always having a sale!) are good battery dealers. Any brand is OK, whatever you can afford make sure it has a long gaurantee (over three years) and keep the reciept (sellotape it to the battery!) and if it goes before the guarantee is up, you win a new one.

Welcome indeed, nice looking motor.

Check trans could be a bit of an issue and check ASM could be a wheel bearing, but as folks have said, it could well be the battery check first.
