Newbie from The Netherlands, hoping to acquire a 4200 this year

Is the VIN not close to the door? That makes me think its more of a door seal or open window issue, (possibly when washed).

If it was the heater matrix the carpet from the centre console to the VIN would be very wet.

Congratulations on your purchase and commiserations on the wet patch. Hopefully it's a quick fix. I disagree with Benny on the wheels, those look better imho. But he's right about the exhaust. The standard is silent.

I like both sets, although mine had the 7 spokes.

All you need now is an aaaiiiiiitchhhhh pipe (H pipe).

Went to the RDW today for the Dutch registration. Everything went well and if all OK, I should have the Dutch plates in appr. 1 week.
One concern though is that the floor at the VIN-Number in front of the passengerseat is wet :-(.

Will have it further investigated once I can drive the car to the dealer.....
Looks a great location to have some fun - I hope it all goes well (I've been windmill spotting here in Flanders today - but not many around)

I got the Dutch plates yesterday afternoon, so we went for a nice drive in the evening :-).
The Tubi is loud, especially with the windows open and lower speed / rpm's.

As it looks now, I can go to Maserati Aachen tomorrow to have the car checked on:

  • Heather Matrix (keeping my fingers crossed)
  • Mirror adjustments don't work (none of the buttons in the centre console with regards to the mirrors work, probably a fuse as the mirrors do adjust when you put it in reverse)

In the dashboard the indicator when you have the turn signal to the right on, doesn't work. Not a major issue, and will only fix it if it's an easy fix.

Will keep you all posted and thanks for the nice messages :-)

The car is now at Maserati Aachen for the Heater Matrix repair.
While it is there, they will also change the oil and brakefluid.

I've asked them to take pictures of the heater matrix repair, which I'll share once I have them.

Fingers crossed it is all done soon, so I can enjoy the lovely weather and drive this baby

Expensive week this week ;-), but ready for the 2024 season.

What did I do (besides the annual maintanance with filters and fluids exchange):

Replaced the black calipers with original Maserati Red Calipers (purchased via spares.net):

Replaced the cracked logo on the nose with a new original Maserati logo (purchased via Eurospares.net):

And added a carbon rearspoiler as I have carbon interiour, I thought it would suit the car

And off course gave it a good wash ;-)

Thinking about putting the 4200GT for sale this year to chase my dream and purchase a Ferrari F430.
Last week it had it annual service at Stradale in Herten. There are not many manual 4200 for sale at the moment in Europe.
