Thanks for the warm welcome!

Collection day is tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited!!! Not looking forward to the train journey from Essex to Nottingham, though.

Bit of a late update!!

Picked the car up and genuinely couldn't be happier! What a machine!!!! Im absolutely in love with it!

Couldn't help but smile the whole way home! I was very surprised with the economy as well, 4 hour drive, covering 200 miles and was sat comfortably at 28mpg

Also, does anyone know what this fob is that is attached to my key?

That’s a Cobra Navtrak tracker fob. If the subscription is ‘live’ then you need the fob in the car when you switch ignition on, otherwise they’ll Call to see if it’s been nicked. It must be defunct by now.

28mpg? Have you found the sport button yet?

Glad to see you haven't disappeared and its been a good start to your ownership.

Sitting at 28 mpg while on the motorway yeah, but I assume you didn't manage to average 28mpg over the whole journey?

He must be deaf as he's clearly not running it in a low gear and driving through the rev range just to hear that glorious engine.

This reminds me of picking up mine, the only weekend of snow and I had a nervy drive back from Reading to home, not far but God it was icy. Mrs MLC constantly reminding me of 'just get it home!' all the way back...

Enjoy the new wheels, she is lovely. Particularly like the interior, such a nice change from black, takes me back to the Alfa GT I had with red interior. Loved that.

Made it back from Nottingham to Colchester in a quarter of a tank so haven't worked out the exact MPG yet, but thats about the same as my Range Rover and less than my old C63! Still very impressed with it!

However the more I've used the car in recent days and got to know it better, I've been averaging 7-15mpg! Not that it makes a difference, Smiles per gallon over miles!

Took me a few days to get used to the car and the characteristics of the drive, but now Im enjoying it far more than the first, twitchy, drive!

Thank you very much! I fall more in love with the interior every time I get in her!!
