Hey Crew,
I am a car lover from the Gold Coast in QLD Australia and have been in the market for a Gransport for the past few years.
My wife and I spent 6 week sin Europe and 3 weeks in Italy a few months ago for our 30yr Wedding Anniversary. One day driving through Tuscany, we came across a Classic Car meet, which I stopped at and admired all the Classic Italian Alfa's, Maserati's, and Fiats. You could say that day and those cars were glued into my mind ever since.
A few weeks ago I was up in Brisbane for work where I was looking at a specific Gransport that I was sure was going to be my 1st Masser, until I stumbled across a Time Capsule. A 1991 222 SR was imported from Japan with a Genuine 46,000kms with Full Books and documentation. I knew straight away this was the car for me, as I have always been a lover of Classic/Vintage cars and timepieces. It came with a Service Invoice from 2018 and less than 3000kms ago that showed a lot of great work done. New Timing Belt, Water Pump, Fusebox, Starter Motor, and a few other nice bits.
I originally going to park it up until the 12th of December when it was going to go into the workshop for a new timing belt and thorough service. But when I found the receipt of work done, that gave me some confidence to take it for a drive. And driving it is what I have been doing. Each day I take it out a few times and it is driving better and better with every drive.
Booked in for a thorough detail and paint correction tomorrow before a trip to the workshop next week.
I can't tell you how happy I am to have joined the Maserati Owners Club and something super
rare and immaculately kept since new. This will be treated with as much love and car as anything I have owned and now all it needs is for a Gransport to take over Daily Duties
