4` or lower you get a high pitch warning... 11 years later with coupes and it still catches me out.

I use it as my SORN reminder!

PS if you are new there is a group of us meeting up at Kemble airport this morning from 09:30. Pop along if you wish. At the AV8 cafe off the Foss Way.

I had was treated to an audible "bleep" from the dashboard area too. (facelift 4200-manual)
It was too quiet to be a warning I reckon. I happened to be switching Sport mode off when it stopped !
No clue. Ignore it and carry on regardless- Its a Maserati..:D

Happened to me the other day as well. Just a not very loud beep with no dash lights to accompany it. Got home and checked that everything electric was working, which it was, and it hasnt repeated itself since.
Of interest TimR, i note your comment about switching the Sport mode of on your facelift manual. On my pre-facelift manual the only thing the sport mode button does is illuminate a little led light! I know on the Cambriocorsa model it changes the way the system responds to the throttle but for the manual i have no idea except perhaps firming up the suspension?

The switch button will emit an orange light, and accompanied by a dash illumination that says "SPORT" in a pale orange/yellow...
It should noticeably firm your suspension. I dont notice any change in throttle response personally.

Im not certain of the technical configuration of the suspension and ECU settings but I remember reading that the button needs to connect to the dash so that it then communucates to the various electronics...In short, if your dash isnt illuminating with "SPORT", then Id suspect that you have an electrical malfunction somewhere that isnt enabling Skyhook as it should ?
Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will confirm it for you....

Sorry, I didnt make myself clear. The dash is illuminating SPORT but that is all the button seems to do, no improvement in performance noted but possibly a firming up of the suspension. I can't say I've really noticed it though. Is that it for a manual? As you say, little sign of any increase in throttle response.

You should notice beyond much, if any doubt. The suspension feel stiffens as damping is increased...

The suspension firms up nicely in Sport. In a manual, nothing else happens.
You should notice less noise dive, less body roll, the car is a bit harsher on bumps. For me it makes the car feel much more confidence inspiring, to the point that I very, very rarely drive not in Sport mode.

Is there no throttle change? Seems odd given how trivial that is.

No throttle change, all the beans, all the time.

Probably a good thing if my other Italian with a sport button is anything to go by. It basically makes the throttle binary - though it also weights up the steering a little, which I'd probably welcome in the Maserati.

Mind you, it's a Fiat Panda

I think I find myself noticing that too...
At first, it feels good, direct; offering some reassuring feel but with very little progress in turn-in, the front end feels like it unloads and grip is diminished. Strange.
I find mine tends to feel rather quick also !
