What question got you booted out Nayf?
I think it was a mistake, wasn’t really a controversial question. What materials make up the car, eg carbon in the wings/up top to keep the weight down high up on the car (like BMW did with the M6).
no carbon other than in interior trims as it turns out

So it's another overweight masser then. :thumb3:

What a bunch of fuckwits. It’s stuff like this that should be put into print but car companies just stop journalists’ access if they don’t just say positive stuff.

I doubt it was anything malicious, probably an error

I thought you said you asked and question and they booted you out?
Yeah, they did. As soon as it moved to some one else I was booted out and couldn't get back in, as I'd been banned. I doubt they wanted to chuck me out though, probably an error.

Unless someone in Maserati's echelon has a fundamental dislike about composite materials...

Was it online or did the heavies arrive and carry you off?

Still not sure about this. Just looks too similar to the old one; the world has moved on in 15 years.

Weird that the interior is unfinished yet considering they're parading the car around to all the magazines and shows.

.
Just had a price from my local MD - Maranello. To be fair they dropped out a marketing email and I asked for the price... £160k (Modena) which will be well configured, I guess that means lots of nice things.

I wish Alfa had made their coupe GTV QF - would have been £60k+ less.

I agree with Matt. I love it to bits but too much money for the base model 130/135 max to ensure it is competitive and get punters to take a look. That is telling me the Trofeo one will be close to MC20 base money. Lovely as it is it doesn’t look that expensive. A real shame it that price is right.

No idea. All I know is that I paid £117k for my Strad in Jan 2014 with a few options….

To be honest, I am dumbfounded that the replacement can cost £150k plus. I think it’s utter madness and will kill them… unless they go like the Maserati of old and discount the feck out of a new car just to get them off the lot

Was the last GT not c£80k+?

Now this is double in 5 years....?!?
They were quite a bit more than that. £100k +.
My Strad was circa £112k back in 2011. As was my Cabrio MC in 2014.
Maybe an early 4.2 Auto was £80k back in 2008, but they soon went up from there.
But they’ll struggle with the new GT at £160k when you consider what you can buy from Ferrari, Maclaren or Aston (though slightly second-hand) at that price point.
