I know tints are not everyone's cup of tea but my inspiration for mine came from the pic on the Evo buyers guide of this facelift QP :

5% on the rears and 35% on fronts to balance it out :

It's very dark in the back now

The most expensive springs I've ever purchased are here (H&R) after I got stung on import charges , probably going to wait to fit them though.
Mine had factory tints. What drop did you go on springs?

20mm F/R according to H&R- I did read someone on here suggested they would have only done the rears in hindsight. The rears have got the biggest on-stilts look so will probably do those first once weather warms up.

I think the glass pack include tinted rear windows, and Infrared filter front screen. I'm also not a fan of the rear tints but I didn't spec my car so it is what it is!

That was me. I would seriously consider just doing the rears first and see what you think. 20mm on the front does not sound a lot but it meant a lot of scraping of the undertray and occasional knocks to the exhaust. Mine was a 4.7 but I imagine the undertrays and everything else is the same underneath. The undertray has a vertical lip which end up about 4 inches from the road.
Not sure of your current ride height as a sport gt compared to my S.

Bought some Larini valved silencers and FD anti roll bars back in August.

Used this grease for the bushes.

Ready to fit. Went on easy enough. Most time consuming was the old nuts on the OEM brackets.

Whoever decided to use cage nuts for the centre exhaust hanger needs shooting! Ran out of light trying to get a spinning nut off.

@alastairb - Just making sure: is yours a Sport GT or one of the few 2008 Sport GTS they made before the facelift? I see it is an auto so that makes me think it is a Sport GTS. These had a black grille, black tipped exhaust pipes, red stripes on the emblem, lowered, 11” wide rims with 295 tyres at the back and no skyhook. I think they also had the chrome delete around the side windows, painted door handles, carbon trim inside and mixed alcantara/leather seats. Only 667 of these were made, not sure how many RHD.

In the interest of keeping some of my pics in one place here's some work tidying the sticky buttons

And the polytrol didn't really sort the badly faded rad duct so I plastidipped it , this has help up really well and doesn't seem to water spot considering you can't exactly dry it when it's behind the grille.

Final update for now.

  1. 30mpg ! Not bad for a commute , traffic limited
  2. After being told the common Nav upgrade won't fit my system, ive been impressed with this wireless carplay/android auto screen, paid 140USD for it back in July.

Has built in dash cam, connects to phone automatically and can do line out or transmit FM. I mostly listen to podcasts so have been using FM and it's more than adequate (my stero sounds **** to be honest even on radio)

@alastairb really nice work! I have exactly the same car as you and also did the blackening of the grille surround - really does look good. I also de-chromed the window surrounds with black vinyl wrap which can be removed.

Great idea of yours to use plastidip on the air duct! You have some very good spraying skills there.

I’ve removed almost all of the sticky interior. How did you do the window switches? They look ace!

On the window switches I rubbed them flat and used black plastidip rather than the rub down, clear paint like the switches. The air vents are similar.
Really great job. There’s a real art to spraying plasti-dip to get that even coat - hat tip sir!

Would you happen to have a link to the clear paint you used?
