Yours was the first thread I clicked on this morning, because I was interested to see where you were.
I thought, "I bet the first question he asks, is about customising the exhaust."
How wrong was I!
You were way ahead of me!
Getting a bespoke bit of stainless steel must be the simplest and most cost effective mod that
almost everyone, thinks about, asks about, carries out.
If you'd care to load a YT clip, I'm sure the boys would welcome it.
Either way, enjoy the db and share the love! :auto14:

Note to self, if your going to buy from Lubefinder.com don't set your work email address as the confirmation email :)

Also got some boot struts from SGS to replace the tired items on the car

And finally when the weather clears up I'm going to tackle some interior scuffs with this product I've used before to good effect

Here it is as of purchase

And here it is with xpipe
Huge difference! I did something similar when I bought mine. The only mod I felt it needed.
Changed mine in a very similar way, if my dementia addled brain recalls correctly :thumb3:
Which is why I never felt the urge strongly enough to update the ICE. I hardly ever use it!

£26 worth of key fob swapped.

Old keys were fairly battered and i got stuck for a good 10 mins when it wouldn't flip out to start the car !

Old Vs New. Pretty happy for the price.

Just received a steering wheel off eBay so once Royal SW open in the new year it will be off for a retrim, shamelessly like a few members on here I'll be copying :D

Got some more bits and bobs done...

Polytrol on the radiator ducting as it was an awful light grey , better now :

95507

Tint film on the white lenses
95509

Coat of hammerite and a new grill emblem as the original had lost its prong!
AliExpress cheapo for a Ghibli so it's a tiny bit bigger than OEM

95508

Painted the washed out Sport GT badges

95510

And this arrived from Jason at Jaren , it's not a wheel barrow!
95511

Once the weather warms up I'll fit the backboxes .

Nice , I have seen the vids.
I like how the xpipe doesnt change the cabin noise at crusing speed. Do the backboxes change that?
Congratulations - identical spec to mine, except mine is DuoSelect
err . thought the Sport GT already had the X pipe mod? Your old one appears to contain a silencer. Might have to get under my own.

is the Jaren exhaust a refurbished OEM part? Can see Ebay listing offering "new part" for 795 and send your own for fettling

Yes they are modifed OEM boxes, I got the backbones off ebay and had them sent to Jaren directly so I didn't see the quality of them beforehand, I think I got lucky looking at the ebay pics, they were pretty cheap imho.

He can mod your existing boxes. That's what he did with mine and then painted and polished the tips

Thanks. My tips are in great condition already and the painting of unseen boxes is little or no concern to me. What else happens to the units, are they gutted of all noise reducing baffles and wadding?

The spring loaded valve is fixed open inside and all the wadding (a bins worth) pulled out then rewelded back up hence paint.

Thanks Gaz
Had no idea QPV had valves or spring inside. How. does the spring operate, just airflow pushing it open when "pressing on"?
Correct. The gases flow in through the valve which opens based on pressure and either exits through the small diameter exhaust tail via wadding. As it opens wider, the butterfly valve inside the large diameter opens to make it more direct and unsilenced. Ps. This is 4.7. Not sure if earlier ds were the same.
