Hi, nice to meet you all! I got my first Maserati, a 2012 QP V GTS Sport, 25k km, a couple of months ago and its been a long time since I've had the adrenaline flowing as much :))
I've done about 3k km since, had it looked at by the Maserati Dealer, re-done the rims, sorted the door dings from inconsiderate parkers and try to go out on a drive as often as possible with sports mode on - no sound system required...
Attached a few pics from one such drive in my area.

Chapman’s Peak & Hout Bay in a QP GTS, heaven. Eisbein and a Hansa in Noordhoek for lunch then back again.

Congrats on the Qp. Superb car.
Love SA, one of my favorite countries with some very special memories of Cape Town.

Sky dive, shark dive and muff dive (Honeymoon) to mention a few.

I noticed that there was a rather fetching Velar in one of your pics. Clearly driven by someone with impeccable taste and panache.

Lovely car and lovely location.
I’m well overdue another visit to Cape Town when allowed to visit family.

I see your QP is registered in Gauteng - where I grew up!

Wow, what a stunning car, and what a stunning location - brings a tear to my eye ...

Welcome to the forum - and please share more photos (Corollas, Caravelles and Citi Golfs are fine too!)

Yes it's a constant slalom around Citi Golfs and Corollas - the Citi Golfs are getting a bit old now! After looking for quite a while I found the right car in JHB so I flew up, drove it, bought it and drove back, a great way to get to know the car as you know it's about a 1400km sunny drive. Plates now changed to personalized Cape plates.

Wow that must have been a fantastic drive - and she delivered you safely through the Karoo desert (sailing past all the broken down and abandoned "BM trouble yous"!)

Great stuff ...

Great drive with no problems - well I did get stopped for speeding about 2 hours out of JHB, was doing 100mph, but we came to an understanding

50 Bucks? ;)
What!
How on earth do u get 50 of these in the back of a Qp on the off chance you’ll get stopped for speeding?

The mess and stench alone would be off putting for other passengers.

Can I suggest you South Africans try using an alternative source of exchange- cash, gold (a particular favorite of mine and 1 which I believe you have quite a lot of) or even crypto for future offenses.

Far more practical and won’t create the same mess.
