Ok I have done it, bought a Maserati 4200GT, so I will be lurking around this forum a bit more preparing myself for any future problem and looking for the solutions.
Its a 2003, black manual car, 42,000 miles well look after by the last owner who has it for 11 years. MOT history looked good and I got an independent garage inspection done. I've almost done more miles getting it home than it has done in the last year. 280 miles of sat in traffic jams around the Midlands, then staying to a steady 70mph on the M1, then a bit faster up the A1 to Durham. It did 22mpg if anyone is interested.
So here are my first questions.

So here are my first questions.
- what spares should I be stocking up on?
- Can anyone recommend a good code reader /reset-er for it?
- Any good ideas to update the radio /CD, multi-CD and satnav system (I have read a few threads on it)
- Any driving advise, ie don't clutch in as you start it? Etc
