I didn’t change them but standard orange. Flea bay you can get dark and clear as well as amber.

Remember to get new amber bulbs too

Well having dumped the front plate my second mod will be to swap out the side repeaters from orange lenses to clear lenses (with orange bulbs).

Santa delivered these to me and I will post a pic of the before and after, it’s a subtle mod but worth it I think.

In short no it’s not legal.
Fine but no points and a lecture that if car is stolen it won’t be tracked on ANPR.
I keep a plate in the car with me but to be honest I have run without a front plate for 4 years - no fine - one lecture.
I am careful to pay tolls like congestion charge and Dartford crossing in advance to ensure I don’t get a accused of trying to avoid them.
