I’ll definitely take some of that rain for the garden, not sure about the car though.

I'm glad that they have done a GTS version but it has not made me start to like the car

Problem is we are all passionate about our cars and show them. An SUV is not a show car but it’s still a Maserati. It’s a day car for those whom can afford.

It's the GTS I was really asking about....I take it from comment above its a shed load more than the entry car.

The diesel gransport is £75k. Just insured one for a couple of days.

Petrol... dunno

It must have been a pretty well specced one. A base diesel is £57k and with just the Gransport pack it’s £62k.

Don’t think they’ve announced pricing on the GTS yet.

No pricing, or UK availability, announcements yet.

I have had my local dealer offering to quote for 0% finance on an S. I replied that I'd rather have a GTS, but so far nothing back. The S I specced up through the configurator was over £80k, I'd expect the GTS to be in the £100k mark. Paying for that engine.

Just need them to make a GTS Ghibli ...

That would be worth the wait Mick....That engine would certainly make the Ghibli come alive.

Managed to see the levante at goodwood. Must say I prefer the full spec alpha for looks

I still can't get my head around the marketing...and the tenuous links to their F1 racing history etc.

OK it may handle well, but drive like that and you will just end up with sick kids and dog and a winging passenger...ok in a little coupe but a family SUV?!?

Is it any more tenuous than the link to a QPV, say? Both 4/5 door luxury cars not 2 door GT/sports cars. Or is it just because it’s an SUV and some people are just against them, irrespective of their virtues.

And not sure most people would drive like that on public roads, with or without their family on board. But I bet Maseratis are mostly driven spiritedly with only the driver on board, irrespective of their configuration.

I quite like the Levante and if I was in the market for an SUV it would be right up there (I am not in the market for an SUV). What little I have seen of the interior looks good too. I have seen 3 in the flesh and to me colour choice is an important factor if picking one.
I saw a Brown one in Edinburgh and it was awful, a White one in Wetherby which was better but still a bit iffy and a Blue one err somewhere else. this was the pick of the 3 but still lacked something imho. There are some ugly SUV's out there.....................

Have they done anything about the room for your feet on the RHD cars

Not from what I have seen, having looked and sat in this, the Ghibli and QP they have all suffered in the lhd to rhd change. If like me you are tall with larger feet the issue is even worse. Harry’s original review of the Ghibli made no mention of it but it was lhd, his Levante review was rhd and was was of his main crtiticisms. To be fair, many Audi’s have the same issue but to a much lesser extent. It must only be because of the engineering costs in converting them properly.

In contrast I recently sat in a friends Lexus GSF and it was obvious it was designed as a rhd car from the start, the seating position was absolutely lovely.

+1. I always struggle on all the Turin built cars as I can't put my left foot where I want it. Obviously a Lexus is designed as a RHD car. As an aside I was in Japan recently and saw an LC500 on the road - someone has made a replacement for the GranTurismo.
