Thank you will give that a go.

Also @ Conaero, seems you have some good build knowledge. Do you know where I can get the MC Sportline carbon pack?

or the external mc sportline carbon pack?

Thank you so much for your reply, not sure if it lasts 2 to 3 weeks yet as I've only had the car 4 days.

This is all because, on the day of collection, the battery ran flat, I later found out the cleaners at the dealership accidentally turned on both heated seats and the parking light while valeting honest mistake. The car had power enough to lock and unlock but not to turnover.

However, I drove it back 2hr, and now it starts on the money, this was more of a be prepared question. so I don't suffer the same in the future.
you're very welcome - enjoy your car!

you're very welcome - enjoy your car!

That I will, I don't know why so many people dismiss this epic car and move on to Porches, Ferrari's, Top end BMW and Merc's, when this car is not only a symphony on wheels but also a beautiful creation of what is possible by talented engineers and designers.

Don't get me wrong, love all the other cars mentioned above and congrats to anyone that owns one of those amazing cars. However, for me, this was the right car not only worth the wait but the hard work getting here.

I suspect that is the one I bought from them, in May of last year. OP - nice colour choice!

To my eyes your car in Bianco Fuji is the most stunning pre facelift GTS on the road.

AV Engineering had one in that colour about a year ago, swathed in carbon, and for me it was the standout car amongst a car park full of 32s, 42s and GSs.

Used, your going to struggle with that. Have you considered carbon dipping?

https://www.wickedcoatings.co.uk/category/image-gallery/cars/exterior/

Hi Conaero, the system you recommend will still make use of the car settings I.e doors, locks, boot settings as well as the speed warnings and service info?

And I suppose the other end of the scale if I replaced with a more modern screen I.e 8" camera nav etc, losing all those car setting features, will it have a effect on the car?

Does any of that info appear on the center screen between dials?

Sorry if this is all stupid questions or questions you have had asked many times before.

Sorry all for the long response times. Been away for a while. By the way @ Conaero wicked coatings what a great suggestion. Most parts I've bought but some I've had dipped and it's amazing.

Thank you.

Ok I know most of you are on the road to le mans, but I have another prob asked all the time question, for you geniuses.

I love my car truly do, but it looks so high. even though actually it's a low riding car. What's your thoughts guys?

  1. Do Maserati Granturismo owners normally lower their cars?
  2. if yes what is recomended
2.1 - Springs
2.2 - spension kits I.e coilovers
2.3 - Air Ride I.e bags for full height adjustability

3. And how strong is each option, are they all less resilient then factory setup?

any help my friends is most welcome

Some of the 4200s owners have used formula dynamics in the US equipment to lower their cars... and one owner sid his GTS... but it was on the floor

You are right in your views. It's the one thing Maserati just didn't get right....Wheels are too far under the arches and it could do with being a little lower. Lots have put spacers on which really does make a difference to the looks.

Some spacers need longer bolts, others bolt to the hub then the wheel bolts to it, so standard length.

I've never heard of anyone having issues regarding safety with them

Thanks guys and girls. Any idea where I can find the best spacers for the job? And does anyone know what UK insurance companies think about spacers?

I used H&R spacers on mine (22mm front and 25mm rear) from this seller : Click here - they come with all the bolts for fitting and they arrived in about 2 days I think, the seller is in Germany.

You guys are amazing thank you. I am still on the fence when it comes to spacers. I have heard some true horror stories. mostly YouTube says they are unsafe and not as the manufacturer attended.

However, they look so good and gives the impression of a lowered car. because you se more of the stance and wheel.

ultimately, you guys are the experts, I'll go with what you say.

Yes - completely safe look awesome or
No - get over yourself and live with it?

please what should I do?
