Hi folks.
I bought a Bianco Fuji MC-Sport on Saturday. First time driven today....WOW. I love it soooo much. I've come from a Line of Lotus, current being the Evora (which I also love) - this thing though, just fantastic experience. Sport button!!!
So opulent yet so angry at the same time. First ever Italian car - I look forward to this ownership :)

Ben.

Welcome Ben, a great choice and one that puts smiles on your face. What part of the world are you from and do, please post some pic mate.

Any questions, no matter how silly you feel they are, do ask.

Which town are you near? There are several along the coast I would recommend depending upon your exact location.

You are close, Im nearer Emsworth.

My brother (Spartacus/Red GranSport) is nearer too, he's in Park Gate/Titchfield area and uses someone local who is supposed to be brilliant. PM him

Emblem in Poole are very, very good. I personally use AV Engineering but they are over Kent way but for me I dont mind the drive.

Autofiscina at the top of the M3 are very good and recommended too.

You have Mike Roberts in Boarhunt which is close but he is more man in shed type. Meridien in Lyndhurst are actually a very good main dealer but you get main dealer prices. Ross in their parts dept is our parts supplier of choice. Mention this forum and you get sizeable discounts.

Super. My friend mentioned Emblem as well. Oddly, I'm in Titchfield too. I spoke to Mike at the Shed but his focus is more on Gransport and earlier.
One thing that I'm expecting is a new clutch at some point, knowing reported wear of 70%. My attitude to this is to just enjoy the car until it needs doing, and put some cash away for it. Emblem again gave me a good rate on this but I wondered if there was anywhere else that people recommend and how much to expect in ££s.

Happy that I've got so many replies already - gonna like this forum!

My first question, perhaps because it revolves around some nervousness, is with my MC-Shift, if I feel particularly lazy sometimes, is it OK to use Auto mode in terms of clutch wear and also it would make sense to me to be more mechanically friendly to select Neutral at the lights, or when stationary in traffic. Is that a good assumption?
I can't see why Auto would be any different - it's changing your upshifts as well as your downs - same thing applies, right?

Tis correct.

Here is a tip for you. Of a morning, you may find the gearbox and clutch take up particular jerky.

Try this.
Get in the car
Turn the ignition on
Wait for all the lights to go out and diagnostics to complete
Dance around on the accelerator and brake pedal pressing them several time.
Start the car

Its an odd thing but is seems to set the clutch up and remove the jerkiness.

Also, as you clutch is towards it twighlight days, this will be a factor.

I think every GTS owner will agree and say only drive the car in SPORT. Change gear at above 4-5k rpm...then tell us its lazy :)

Thanks for that! Oh yeah, the car is anything but lazy - it's fantastic - sometimes I feel lazy though, or my missus will want to have a go...!
