New GT owner... with problems :(

Hi all. Firstly thank you for accepting me into the forum.

Before mentioning anything else. The car is amazing and everything we wanted.

I purchased a 2007 GT yesterday, at first it appeared perfect for the year and mileage. Discovered a few issues that are niggling me.

# Large clatter on start up.

This is the main one. Our jag had the same problem until we reflashed the ecu and put a new battery one

Indeed Wattie...hence whilst I am treading carefully. It’s a 2007 so nailed on.

Got it from a dealer but as a trade sale. Initially thought it just needed tyres and service parts.

The clatter on start up sounds like a few things...

Vvt actuator

Flaps fluttering

Or idle speed control actuator

Not unless you're a trader you didn't which is some comfort.

Although I'm struggling to find a strict definition of what I understand is the law w that a trader cannot sell a car to a private individual as a 'trade sale'. So your rights should still be good.
