Wonder how close this render is to reality?View attachment 89976
I would be happy with that. Mind it will be too much money so instead I have ordered a 992 for sometime next year as I don't need the space that Maserati offers in its GT cars anymore. Mind I need to decide whether I keep the GranTurismo or move it on as I have lived for two decades with a Maser coupe and it will be strange to not have one.

Oh wow, congrats on the 992. Don’t sell the Maz. From memory you’ve had yours from new haven’t you for a long long time? Be a shame to part with it!

Love the 992. Just a shame you can’t actually buy any of the special ones.
I recently spoke to my nearest two dealerships, and was told I had no chance of getting a new 992 of any of the models I fancy within the production life of that model. For example, they might get sent 2 GT3 a year, but could sell 50 times that.

I’m going Carrera 4 Coupe so nothing fancy. I’m not a fast driver so that is plenty and is still quite a bit quicker than the Maser.

Yep I have had my GranTurismo ten years from new so might keep it but the parts price/maintenance point that is well made on this forum is nagging away at me.

Well done BB. I think the 992 looks fantastic. Look forward to hearing your journey into Porsche ownership.

Thanks. That was part of the decision as the 992 looks brilliant IMHO. I actually went to buy a Cayman 4.0 GTS which was great to drive but nothing sounds as good as a pre GPF Maser. It was also clearly an old cabin and not as attractive externally. Add to that the much better residuals on the 911 so I took the 'free' upgrade. Will be quite a wait mind, whatever you order Porsche wise.

I had a 987S Boxster when they came out in '05 so it will take a bit of getting used to Porsche again.

I always think Porsche do a great job of updating the 911 and making it still look like one. The latest interior is lovely also. Was at Porsche Bristol the weekend and they do catch the eye…especially the 992 GT3 waiting for a customer to collect. Lucky bugger.

I also bought a 987S brand new in 2005 (my first pork). Absolutely loved that car and it was my cross Europe transport for my honeymoon in 2006!90189
