Hi Phil
I came very close to buying the car you now have, it's my favourite colour! By the time I had made up my mind to buy a Gransport you had beaten me to it.
I persevered and finally picked up my Gransport on Saturday.
I have just moved from Worcester and now reside just outside of Hereford, just off the A4103. I was wondering if there were any other owners in the area, if you want to meet up sometime let me know.
Just thinking ahead do you know of any reputable specialists in our area? I have found Migliore Cars in Bromsgrove - anyone know about them?
It will replace my BMW840 which I will be putting up for sale very soon.
We're always on for a meet-up/run-out and are going to Wheels on Wednesday May 19. Often come over to Bartestree when it's the cherry season - world's best cherry grower there.

'Well done on the GS purchase. And it’s great to know I’m not the only one on here with a GS and Westfield combination!'

Hi
Is that a V8 hiding under the bonnet of your Westfield?
I developed mine for hillclimbs and sprints and upgraded many years ago to 1700cc Zetec S (ex Puma). It was perfect as the class breaks were upto 1700 and then over 1700.
It was developed by Aldon Engineering and puts out 205bhp, pretty lively as it is only 500kgs.

Yep - mine's a V8. Originally built for hill climbing, with a 5.2 lt. V8 from John Eales. But it has now been re-engineered for road use and John has fitted a 3.9 V8 with a few tweaks. It now has 255bhp, which is ample, even though mine is not light (by Westfield standards) at something towards 800kg. Fun on a dry road on a warm day. Not so much fun at other times!

It looked vaguely familiar, there was quite a few V8's around in the 90's but on road tyres most of them had more power than they could use effectively.
Do you know who used to use it on events?

It was raced in 94/95 by Tim Coventry (and John Eales) before then being converted to road spec and bought by a friend of mine (from whom I bought it). It was a factory ’93 build, and has a VOF plate like yours.

Really enjoying how much fun this is to drive and the positive attention/comments it garners when out and about. Seems there is a lot of love for the Maser.
Best MPG I got was 24, worst, I forget now.

Just had some Larini back boxes fitted to restore it back to full volume. The difference is quite amazing, much deeper with more growl.
Not suitable for a subtle arrival anymore that’s for sure.
