One other point that I would welcome some opinions on.
In strong daylight the headlamp washer covers are slightly lighter in colour than the rest of the bumper. It is visible in one of the pictures. I was wondering whether it would be worth mentioning to my dealer.

If it bothers you then yes, why not mention it? Now that you have pointed it out, I can notice it too

Up to you .. with the Blues particularly the shade seems to vary dependent on the angle that the light hits it... part of the appeal I think... I doubt it's a paint issue they just may not be completely in line with the surrounding bumper ... .. Not worth losing too much sleep over IMHO...

Gorgeous colour. A few getting around the streets now but always driven very conservatively.

I am liking it a lot. Now the question is do I get the QP GT or a Ghibli as a family car? I think the QP will be too big to drive for my wife.

The current QP in my opinion is so big, it limits where you can take it. For me, the Ghibli is a more practical size for a family saloon from the current model range

Watched Fast & Furious 7 last night and was horrified at the conclusion of the first car chase scene featuring the new Ghibli.
Please watch with caution..... you have been warned!!

(Was thinking of saving up for the Aston Martin Rapide but now starting to re-think to a new Ghibli - simply gorgeous!)

Ghibli looks great as does the new QP to be honest, real head turners especially in the flesh.

My only concern is that Maserati design looks set to become evolutionary now with everything based on the front end look of Jason Castriota's design for the Granturismo. This isn't a bad thing at all but it has unfortunately made all Porsche's/Astons look the same. I must admit I'm not a fan of the family look with cars, the range tends to become like a set of babooshka's! I think the recent lack of involvement from Pininfarina or any of the influential design houses was so Maserati could perhaps save money but those designers helped to visually define the Maserati we all know and love. Will be interesting to see if they continue to gently evolve the designs or take on a new design cheif in the future. I'd love to see someone like Peter Schreyer/Henrik Fisker at the helm or give whoever designed the Alfieri Carte Blanche on future designs, that thing is stunning.
