My B&B was on business tariff. I then went through a rethink on usage, changed everything I could to improve efficiency and hey!!! Dropped my consumption so much that I dropped out of the business discount rate and ended up paying more.
So changed to domestic tariff. No questions asked. Particularly if you change to a provider that doesn't actually have a business rate of their own.

octopus are very good, they do have a business tariff as well however most do, just pop your address in to their domestic part and see what comes up quote wise, link below

I was on Economy 7 tariff with Night Storage heaters. this required t2wo sets of meter readings
These were old and rubbish.
Took them out and replaced with rads.
Meter is still the same
Do I need a different meter?

Most probably, if your night time rate usage is less than 40% of your daily total, then you would be better off on a single rate meter, they shouldn't charge you for changing it. Oh, and from my understanding for a property to be classed as domestic, it has to be able to be used 12 months of the year, the fact that you can only use it for 11 months is why it is classed as business, good luck with trying to get that changed!
