New car mats

I have just received mine, but car at the dealer to sort out a few minor issues - making the most of my warranty before it expires.

The car mat is decent quality, with nice red stiching to go with the car interior. Given that it is a weekend car and not used in wet/winter, I think it is relatively simple to keep clean. Not sure if it is real leather, but quality looks good to me.

A photo here, I will take another one when installed in the car.View attachment 53522
Those are the exact mats I purchased for my 2013 GT convertible....except the driver's side is on the left! It's a weekend car as well and the mats have shown absolutely no sign of wear since I installed them about 8 months ago. They wipe down very easily and I use 303 Aerospace Protectant to keep them looking new.

That’s great, I’ll be ordering with the heel plate. They do look good on the website.
If you are going to have "regular" mats from Autostyle - here's a photo of some I had made by them. I asked for a silver trident to be embroided in (they couldn't do the "Maserati" words/font because Peter the manager felt that would contravene copyright but the trident was OK) and as I was extremely pleased with the result and the service was outstanding. You can see the clips which actually are slightly less obtrusive than the originals.

Hadn’t thought about a logo, they do look very good with the Trident

If that's the way you want go, I did have to email them a file with a logo which was coloured silver (I chose silver to contrast and match the paintwork). If you give them a call they might still have the graphic ready, if not get back to me and I'll help.

You mean to say they actually supply fixing clips that fit with OEM...?
Yes they do - they didn't have the exact positions for the 3200GT but they posted me some paper templates and asked me to mark the positions for them.

The emblem look fab. Have also been in contact with Autostyle (following recommendation here from another SMer) and they couldn't have been more helpful. Didn't go ahead though as thought a larger emblem would have been "better". I was after something about 50% larger which, perhaps in hindsight, would have been a trifle "chavish". Having seen your photo though I'm now having second thoughts. That is rather subtle making me think, hmmm, I like that a lot!

Had knocked this up as a template but now thinking it would've been a bit much. They couldn't have done it anyway so moot point. Thoughts anyone?

I think they look smart...shame they won’t do the name.
I’d go with black on black with the metal heel plate. Aluminum pedals and CNC gear knob....:boss:

Ok, I have tried the diamond car mats on...

The front ones look nice and fit nicely, unfortunately the rear car mats don’t fit properly and they don’t go up and cover the side walls like the front ones do.

So happy with the front ones, but measurement on the rear mats is not accurately and does not cover the the floor fully.

Front looks great but that's a shame about the rear ones. Are you gonna contact them ?
I wondered what the rear would be like, as all the online pictures of these show them as one piece going over the rear tunnel, but obviously you cant really do that on the GT.

Does anyone else have pics of any in a GT from a different company? Are they the same in the rear?

I've had them in our GT for about 6 months, but I'm not at home so I can't get a picture of them. Mine are black with red stitching and they appear to be well-made with absolutely no wear shown. Just an FYI, they're made in China and I honestly don't think they're made of real leather. They certainly feel and look like leather, but for about $220 (US) or £134, I doubt that they're real. I've received many compliments on them!

Are your rears the same as Slay's ?

Yes, I have contacted the seller. The front looks great, but the rear is a half baked job in my opinion. The rear should have followed the same design and going up the wall and tugged under the centre console at the back - just like the front. I don’t think I will keep them, because the rear mat does not fit properly.

That's a shame, let us know what they say.
I've been looking at the ones from here, as I like the customisation options https://www.luxmats.uk/shop/jaguar/5-seater-luxury-car-mats/
But they are fairly pricey starting at 230 and end up 330 by the time you've added a few bits. Bit to much for me.
I wonder if they're the same as yours in the back.....

This is what I'd have I think if I could justify the cost...

You beat me to it :)
Marvellous - just got mine yesterday too and was surprised at how tough they actually look and feel. The install advice is to allow them to settle out for a while to allow the travel creases to drop out and then fit. - so they're currently laid out in a warm room
Likewise I'll post some before and after - a project for the weekend methinks.
Cheers
Ian.

What do you think of the rear mats? I have sent an email to seller, surprise surprise no reply. While I like the front, I think I am returning mine because the rear mats just don’t fit at all. Unless if they have sent me the wrong ones?

I didn't get to fit them this weekend unfortunately, but as mine's a QP the rear mats are a one piece that goes over the transmission tunnel. I'll try and do dummy fit to see how close they are

I bought a set of 4 thick rubber mats from Lidl for £10, and I then cut them to shape for a perfect customised fit.
For the Pinin however:p!

Seriously, I don't think I would be happy, it would annoy me every time I saw them!
