To me the front bumper looks as though it has been painted.
I initially thought it was just the light but in every photo it's a different shade, especially when compared to the front wings adjacent to the wheels.
Maybe that may explain the lifted bonnet?
Agreed, only done 1k miles since June 2017, so plenty of time to have had some work done ? Anyway, the bonnet looks wonky. I appreciate that’s not a technical term, non the less I don’t like things that look wonky.

Isn't that @amyzoe old car, thought I recognised the no plate.
Here you go:- yes the link above is my car,The last person to service the car was Aldous Voicey of AV Engeneering who is a great bloke. His words were ,that my car was one of the best he had seen and if i keep it another 3 years there should be no major outlay in that time.He also recorded the clutch wear at 12.68%,I'm only selling because i want to take the next step in Maserati ownership .I must be brave !!!!!

Jon,

I’m here! Thanks to those who’ve recommended my services. I don’t have any 4200’s in or imminent but I do know the car in question. Sold it before, give me a call, numbers are on the website.
Thanks Richard. I will try and call in the morning just before I fly off to Turkey.

Regards

Jon

Thanks, that is exactly what I was hoping for. Have you any view on the bonnet and front bumper issue?

Beat me to it, I know no more than I sold it to the chap that @amyzoe bought it from, was a very good car. If AV know the car give them a bell.

Off to Turkey, good luck mate. Bit of a drift, but Ataturk airport holds some bad memories for me. I was on my regular crew change through there in June 2016 and ended up less than 50 meters away from an ISIS backed terrorist attack. Had just has 3 months off work due to an unrelated injury which included some broken ribs and a broken collar bone, and got knocked over in the aftermath and panic (collar bone back to square one). One of the terrorists who had already been shot by security still managed to set off his vest. And 50 meters under those circumstances isn’t far! I still travel to the same destination, but never again via Turkey. In all, 48 killed and 230 injured and the collar bone still hurts, but I was lucky.

Finally, after a few false starts and sadly the realisation that my left knee is not robust enough to live with the clutch of a manual car, I have finally laid my hard earned cash down and driven away in a 4200 coupe.

After running around the country, this one turned up in Kent, less than 50 miles from me. It has a full Maserati history and a bundle of receipts and mot’s to back up the mileage of 39k. Additionally all of the manuals, the tools and keys come with the car.

It has a long mot and recent full service. However part of the deal is a fluid service (I wanted fresh oils before I took the car to Italy and back) and a new MOT.

Overall I am very pleased with the car. It will go back to the dealer in a couple of weeks for the service etc, a little bit of paintwork correction and a full detailing. Additionally anything that comes up will be put on a snag list to be corrected. All that is left is to add my personal plates and we are done.

Well Done and I too like the silver and red.
A trip to Italy in a Maserati is a Great experience as I did it it in my first 4200.
Good Times around the Lakes.
Enjoy and keep us posted.
