It will probably never happen and agree it's not to my taste either.
I'm getting drawn more to burr walnut and leather with an aluminium body with 520 BHP which seem to be distracting me most days and almost ready to pull the trigger.
Ferry booked for next Friday to UK and go and look at some XKR'S.

There’s a blue one at Arun that looks gorgeous. I’m a sucker for that French blue colour anyway

They have addressed the one thing I can’t quite get on with - the ride height of Montreals make them look a bit tippy-toed. Trouble is, they’ve ruined every other sublime bit of the original design.

Something bad is happening in car design I fear. I watched an episode of Netflix’s Abstract last night about the global head of design at Fiat Chrysler and whilst he seems a nice guy and was obviously very talented with a pen as a youngster, I was dismayed to see how corporate the whole design process is now. Too many cooks spoiling each broth at every stage and if the head chef doesn’t like it, it gets thrown out. Maybe it’ll go back to design houses harking their wares around the major manufacturers, until one is brave enough to have a go, rather than these in-house engineering and styling departments fighting over budgets and swivel chairs. Maybe it’s even bigger than that and we are all becoming bored of “products” designed for global markets?

Ps - there’s a bit of Alfieri in that episode

Good lord. Hideous. Doesn't matter though it'll look nothing like that if it ever makes it to market
