When you paddle shift up or down, the foot you press the accelerator pedal suppose to push for rev up or not press so
engine rev down or stay same and you just paddle down or up regardless of accelerator pedal position?

Don't worry about the accelerator (to start with). The ECU can handle all of that, and if you start moving the accelerator as well, it gets confused.

Just stay the same, let the computers handle it. When you get the knack you can start thinking about it.

Make sense?

I finally got around to installing my back up camera. The spot I choose was the easiest. I am not too sure I am happy that it is so far of center. I could possibly try to get it next to the keyhole, looks like there maybe enough space there. Am I overthinking it, what do you guys think?83069

I did not want to drill a hole into metal to pass the wire, to mount the camera nor removed the lock, I bought a camera that is integrated into license plate holder.
To pass the camera wires into trunk, I removed one of the 2 white lights (where orange arrow pointing ) , moved the plugs inside, then made a small
hole on the side of the light clear plastic lens, enough to let wire in bolting the lens back.
If you do it this way, then to open the trunk with metal key(in case of dead battery) you need to lose the 4 bolts that hold license plate.
Same can be done to any camera that mounts on license plate.

I like it, it’s quite discrete and I doubt you’ll notice it in use.

The available depth behind Maserati 4200 Coupe/Spider radio is only 35mm, There are many Narrow radio/GPS receiver units that fit, but they do not have acceptable sound quality.
For playing music or radio they really sound worse than old car original radio, upgrading car speakers will not solve the low quality sound problem, those receivers are good only
for GPS and phone use.
Amongst receivers that have acceptable audio quality ( THD<1%) Pioneer has a pricey car radio receiver with detachable screen that fits easily.(Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX).
A number of good brands make 178mmX100mmX75mm receivers that have acceptable sound Quality (THD less than 1%) amongst them are Kenwood and JVC, the models are:
DMX4707S, DMX47S, DMX7706S, KW-M75BT, KW-M750BT, KW-M740BT,KW-M56BT and KW-M560BT. They cost over $250.
I wanted to fit a 178mm X 100mm X 75mm receiver in my 2004 Coupe but depth behind the Current NIT display unit is limited to 35mm, so I modified radio bezel ALREADY MADE
and used for thinner receivers/displays to allow fitting of 75mm deep units. In the rear my bezel opening is 184 mm By 101mm, front opening is 174mm by 98mm. This modified
radio bezel adds about 44 mm to available depth behind where the NIT display was mounted before.

I had my radio-bezel.stl file (2.53MB) 3D printed in hard black matte smooth plastic at:
Innosek USA
235 Main St.,
Tonawanda, NY 14150 , USA
www.innosek.com
It costs about $126 plus shipping charge.

Installed brass inserts, placed the brass inserts over the mounting holes, heated each by a soldering iron and gently pushed it into bezel :

Wet sanded with 400 grits and painted it, then Fitted the switch, mic and USB. The hazard switch is Mitsubishi MB652291 it mounted OK. Neither the panel mount USB nor the MIC
Fitted flush as I wanted them, so modified the CAD file to correct it for next 3D print ( if any).
Four M5 8mm fasten the receiver to this radio-bezel the mounting holes that allow the receiver (KW-M56BT)display surface slide Outward 5mm or remain flush with the bezel

Hi
I love the 3D printed bezel. I can’t seem to open the cad file. My brother in law has a 3D printer so would it be possible to send me the CAD file direct
Thanks

First you need to indicate which one of the 2 bezels you want. I made deep bezel that you can fit 75mm deep units such as JVC or Kenwood,
but when you install those receivers it will not be a flush mount, it will be 11mm raised from dash. I named this bezel radio-bezel-2 and the
zip file for it is on first page of this post. I just downloaded it fine. It is an STL type file, you need to have STL file viewer to open and view it.
The print shops accept this kind of file. Try again and if you could not download it again send me your email and I send you this 1.16MB file
as email attachment.
If you want a flush mount install, you are very limited in selecting receivers, Pioneer has one, and there are some cheep other brands with terrible audio being sold on internet. I made 2 second bezels for more shallow than 75mm receivers, named the files radio-bezel-3 and
radio-bezel-4 they are both in zip file on second page of this post(shallow-bezel.zip) which I again downloaded it fine and could view
them with my STL file viewer, one of the 2 files has a cutout for USB port and the other does not, they are good if you choose to buy
Pioneer receiver. Again if you could not download it again send me your email and I send you these 725KB files as email attachment.

Hi k1coupe. I don't suppose you have a shallow bezel stl file without the usb and hazard button cutouts? Would save me trying to work out how to edit the stl files.

I do not have a shallow bezel stl file without the usb and hazard button cutout , but I saved backup freeCAD file as I was cutting details in bezel, I MIGHT find a back up file that does not have the details you do not want and from that generate an stl file for you. However at this time my computer crashes when I run freeCAD, so if you could wait a week I update you with status on the stl file you want.

That would be amazing if you are able to find that backup freeCAD file. Thanks in advance!
