Although there was no intentional connection when I posted the pics, the QP prototype and the Veyron have something in common insofar as they both showcased technological and styling developments of their respective periods, and if you see them purely in that light they sort of make sense. The proto QP is now desirable for its rarity, though I think I’d rather have a few other toys for the £125k tag, and the same argument goes for the Veyron; I’ve bought cars for less than the price of a single Veyron tyre……

Bugatti originally came to prominence through a philosophy of building well-engineered lightweight racing cars that were powerful and nimble enough to see off the opposition. I wonder what Ettore would make of the two-tonne behemoth that now carries the family name.

Excellent point. Since Ettore Bugatti famously referred to the Bentley as "the world's fastest lorry", I think we can make an educated guess...

I have to agree, while I enjoyed the top gear shows, the organisation was a little poor. Moving between the Top Gear and Classic car shows had been seamless in the past, but this time you had wrist bands allowing you back and forth, but through the funnel of the gates which was painfully slow.

But the biggest disappointment had to be the lack of Totti !!

I like that Lambo Islero picture, but couldn't get a clear shot myself. Shot a shed load of pics, I'll try to sift through to see if theres any of interest. Ironically I found the Americana quite pleasing to the eye.
