Ohhhhhh, what's that?

The last one I guess you mean. It is the Bicknell RE98, a one off sports racing car built by Rob Bicknell. Runs a 2.0 Vauxhall XE and Hewland box. Competed in things like Britsports and VdeV racing in France back in its hey day and I bought it from a guy who had used it in the ExCool Open Sportscar Series. Won a few races in its time. I unfortunately have not had it on track yet as the engine fitted when I bought it decided it didnt like having oil pressure whilst sat warming up in the barn one day. I've had a couple of other race cars during the time this one has been broken.

I have a temporary fast road spec engine in there but it needs a few other things doing before I can actually drive it. One day I'll rebuild it properly with a full race engine but that would probably mean selling the GS!

Everyday drive is a totally impractical full fat supercharged Range Rover, just love it

and probably too many toys
Oh my goodness - I came so close to going after one of these instead of the Maser'. If you're going to do it you have to go full fat obviously and they're probably also bargains of the century 2nd hand compared to original list price. Maybe the XC90 replacement for me ?? - I'm not sure the wife could cope with 2 cars doing less than 20mpg. Saying that our other daily is a 55 plate Cooper S - which is a great car to drive and probably averages no more than 25mpg..... less if you're driving it properly.
I'd still love a ff Range R though

Ours is the 4.4 TDV8 and it does 30mpg or thereabouts on average. It's plenty fast too with over 300bhp, buckets of torque and even sounds OK (for a diesel, obviously). Nice to see another one that isn't black, grey or silver, it took us a while to find one in a colour we wanted.

1/2 tonne? Surely not?? If it is it will handle well...
Pick-ups are rated in the US as 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton and up. Ford's 1/2 tone if the F-150 and Chevrolet's 1/2 ton is the 1500. It's not the weight of the vehicle, and the designation is more closely related to the cargo carrying limit, although my RAM can carry about 1500 lbs in the bed.

It's not really a UK thing, but I like it :)

VERY nice...both of them! I love the plate on the Lotus. Did you import the F-150? I've had several F-150s and I really like them.

Daily is an XFR, which is unforgivable because it’s frankly stupid. It’s just too fast for a 2 tonne saloon. Although the chassis is great, the tyres just can’t overcome basic physics, so it’s very easy to spin in a 2 tonne monster with 507bhp. I should’ve got the diesel, but when I bought the Jag I didn’t know I’d accidentally buy a 4200. The Jag was supposed to ensure I didn’t feel the need to own another sports car! That worked.

The Jag embarrasses the Maserati in a straight line, and actually gives it a run for its money on a curvy A road. And returns about 27mpg on a run! It’s a feat of engineering.

Track/summer fun is my MX5 (not pictured).

Blue moon use is the Tuscan. I have to (obviously) store it indoors so I rarely get round to using it.

My wife had one just like yours but unfortunately it spent more time in the shop being repaired than it did on the road. That hasn't turned us off of the Range Rover brand and when she decides she no longer wants to drive her Jeep Grand Cherokee (5.7 liter Hemi), she will look at another Ranger Rover or the Jeep Grand Cherokee Track Hawk (707hp!!).

RRS Autobiography SC- don’t think that there is anything out there that can match it in terms of luxury, comfort, power, looks etc.

I'm a recent maser convert having been an Aston fan many years. My other toys are an ex AML works prototype Vanquish SDP and a 1961 DB4 GT. just 300 miles or so to Concours for the Vanquish and historic racing such as LM Classic and Goodwood revival etc for the DB4. Both are treated to a much more pampered life than me! 5917759178

Was a Mercedes ML until I recently got shot of it. Now a 2003 2.5 Jaguar X-Type 4x4 estate. That is actually my dogs car! Drives surprisingly well for an old one.

Very special, thanks for sharing. In many respects, we are 'custodians' of these cars. Always admired the Vanquish a good friend has an S.
What Maserati do you have?
(Ps. I'm an ex Aston owner... for now.)

That’s lovely… Link?
There isn’t one currently, that’s how keen I am to sell it!

It was on PH a while ago for 11k (to answer outrun’s question too), but like any large engined Italian car you do sometimes have to wait for a buyer looking for exactly what you are selling to come along. Or just sell it too cheap!
It’s not going anywhere for less than £10k though, so maybe I’ll have to just keep it a bit longer.....

I run a BMW F06 650i Gran Coupe as my daily, alongside the 4200. Completely different type of V8 and a super all round car. Only 12x 650i Gran Coupes in the UK!!

Very similar minds and cars ;) I've got an XJL SuperSport, a 4200 (well 2 atm technically!) and a Chimaera. I'd rather have the Tuscan though ;)
