Looks good, are you going for one of their options from the link?
I’m still debating how far to take it. I’m booked in for February and will need to decide a week before. Audiofile assured me that even just changing the front speakers to their Audison Voce components and filling the door cavities with Dynomat would make a huge difference.

Sounds good, keep us posted as I may look to do something similar one day

I have just read this thread from start to finish - interesting and informative, I hope the car respects you in the manner you have respected it !

I have had trouble free / issue free motoring from my GTS for 3 years but am not experiencing some of the common issues, so it’s off to Matt for some TLC in Feb.

Finally had time to take the car to audiofile-incar (link above).
You would think it’s a quick fix to replace the tweeter and mid range components out.. not a chance. These guys do things properly. Remove door skins, build costum mdf baffles for the mid range to be mounted on. Fill all door cavities with Dynomat sound deadening material, build small baffle for tweeter to sit on in place of the OEM tweeter. 5 hours later I picked the car up again having borrowed one of Audiofile-incar’s courtesy cars. The OEM system certainly sounds far better and clearer with the Audison Prima components. It’s a worthwhile upgrade if you’re not in the mind of going all out with amps and subs etc.
Having seen the work carried out and gotten use to the superior clarity and sound, I think I now need further work done to give the system some proper ‘backbone’ - slippery slope!

In preparation for my next trip down to AV Engineering to inspect the 360 Modena, this arrived from Eurospares, the R button on mine is completely worn out.

How much was this speaker upgrade?
The savings from London commuter season ticket are burning holes in my pockets.

£600 for the Audison Prima upgrade. £2000 if you go all out with rear sub and amps.

Take it you got the 1/R buttons installed Bebs

I’m quite surprised that having done the same and replaced mine about a year ago and doing a max of 3k miles since, the R button is already showing some wear...thought it would last longer than that!

I’ve just got my original one refinished by StickyPlastics and hoping that stands up better to the test of time-it certainly looks a great finish.

Yes I did replace it. So far so good but it’s only been used sparingly though due to lockdowns.
If it does indeed wear over just 3k miles that’s pretty poor!

Hey Bebs few questions,

Any side pics of your car with the alloys referb'd what colour you go for?
What carplay system did you get installed? Any pics?
How did you get your steering wheel off or was it AV that did that for you?

Cheers sir

Hi BDM, my car looks identical to Moz’s car in terms of black with Grigio Mercury alloys. I much prefer that to silver or black alloys. Think you’re near Essex? If so happy to meet up if you want to see it in real life.
I had the SportsMaserati forum group buy carplay installed, it’s fantastic. No more messing about with cables, phone etc. It just works. Again, happy to show you.
AV removed the steering wheel when they refurbished my alloys, 10 days later it was returned and fitted. It makes a huge difference to the ‘feel’ of the car. After all, that is your point of contact with the car itself. Royal Steering Wheels had previously refurbished steering wheels for me so I knew what to expect. The quality is second to none.

It’s that time of year again and my GT-S is going down to Aldous at AV for its annual check over and oil change.
I’m taking the opportunity to do a few more upgrades.
Zep has worked his magic and I now have a full set of uprated discs and pads to be fitted.

I’m adding:
-black 22/25 mm spacers.
-braided brake hoses.
- custom made rear springs from Faulkner, lowering the rear by 25 mm to finally get rid of that horrible arch gap.
-new boot struts
-Stindig Alu paddles

This is a great thread tracking the changes over time. Please post a picture once the car has the springs fitted. I have never heard of only one end being lowered before. I don’t see why it would be an issue but I don’t understand vehicle dynamics enough. Were there any things you had to consider before doing it? Agreed the wheel gap with these isn’t great.
