Collected a 2005 Rosso 4200 Spyder Cambiocorsa yesterday from a genuine private owner. He had the car looks and interior modified by Design Q at huge expense and then some 8 years later decided due to age he could no longer use the car. Only 8550 miles since new and in virtually perfect condition. On the basis of who dares bids I took a chance and bought it unseen at auction after reading about the bespoke modifications. The 100 mile drive back was a mixture of motorway and back roads so I was able to drive both hood up and down. The gear box is, shall we say different to various German conventional auto's and DSG that I have had before but once I got used to it's characteristics I am happy with it. I have even got the original front and rear end moulds just in case. The term modified may sound challenging but I think the results are in keeping. Apologies, I tried to post a few photo's but somehow they have become inserted into the text and I can't take them out. Fiddling with IT is not my strong point, my excuse is that when I went to school calculators had not been invented and cut and paste involved scissors and glue. However I can add up quite large numbers and know my tables. if you are interested you can see more here. https://www.designq.co.uk/maserati-4200-q-spyder. Certainty a nice contrast to my usual BMWs which are all blue. I'm looking forward to driving what to me is a complete change of direction.
