Lovely car.
I had a 156 GTA, traded it in for the Maser.. if you can call about £2k a trade in lol
It was lovely... though I had put 150k miles on it! (and never changed the clutch!)

I had a 156 GTA, well two, the second was one of the few cars I regretted selling, especially as they all seemed to jump about £5k in value a few months later!

I'd love another but can't justify the price they now command.

Yeah, got lucky when I saw it many years ago. But having said that, the 147GTA is one of those cars which looks great in all the colours to me, a sign of a great design. I’d have been happy with any colour though, even the ultra rare pale green metallic!

Artic Verde is it's name.

I had a 156 in the same colour. Or snot green as I called it!

Whilst it looks similar to Verde Artic, the metallic green that was available on the 147 GTA was actually a unique GTA colour called Verde Boreale, colour code 379/A

Recently found out that Zagato designed the body kit for the 147 GTA. They also did the 166 facelift.
So I actually own two Zagato-designed Alfas without having a telephone number bank balance.
Cracking cars and still very affordable. At some point surely they will appreciate in line with other comparable modern classics.

Well the UK GTA market is slightly skewed by the number of Selespeed GTAs that sit unwanted. Still, my mate sold his red one for £15k.
Mine's not quite as aesthetically pleasing, but all the mechanical work has been done, and it's on Michelins.
Ideally I won't have to sell it to find the Ghibli Cup purchase, but I do only have one garage. Might see if I can rent next door's...

Agree to a degree but finding “good” UK versions isn’t easy and many of these also sit around unsold. A few of the Japanese cars are nice examples and most have the benefit of being rust free, but you are right in that the number for sale outweighs the tiny demand, so even these sit unsold (the semi auto also plays a part but isn’t a deal breaker for me)

Fingers crossed you won’t have to sell yours to fund the Cup.

I was supposed to sell mine when I bought the QP. That was 3 years ago! I blame covid….

Still a very nice, characterful, modern classic as they are know as now.

Here’s mine last Friday at the Gawsworth youngtimers show (next to a lovely GTV6, 3.0 conversion), which was a great event.

Wife says I don't have to, and I think I'd only ever want to replace it for something like a 75 fast road/SZ, one of those dawn blast cars, which is what the 147's used for. Long way to go before I even countenance that though...

I had a 2002 156 GTA that I bought from new, it had the black / tan interior and was a "special colour" Miro red. It was just over £32k when I bought it which was quite expensive. I did 110,000 trouble free miles before selling it for £4k to help cover a big tax bill, selling it was my a biggest motoring mistake, my next biggest was buying my 3200 shortly after.

How bad... Or good, are the selespeed GTA's?
How do they compare the cambiocorsa Maserati?

I bought a 156 GTA without seeing it or seeing a photo of it. How surprised was I when this turned up. Another car I should have kept! :-(

It’s actually the same unit as the Maserati Cambiocorsa unit. I’ve not driven one but one of the main appeals is the physical interaction of the manual box, personally.
It’s a much more robust system than the Twin Spark Selespeed, which is very unreliable.
