Thanks Stuart. Very kind.
I am kind of not fussed when it sells. There is still another year before I will get my hands on the new Atom.
I believe the main thing holding back interested parties is the clutch is coming to end of life. I can offer to get new one based on an agreeable price. Or when it perishes. Whichever is earlier.
The other thing is the tendency of buyers to prefer the Auto. I would say there are many better Auto Saloons than QP and DS is what makes it very unique and much more involving.
But then that's what I think.

Just in case you're not aware of QP sold prices on ebay you're asking double , there isn't one that's made over 8k
I appreciate yours is a beautiful car with upgrades and very good history but 80k, needing a clutch , no warranty and £15,000

I do agree I'm afraid....lovely car and lovely example but you're going to struggle to get 5 figures at the moment.

I sold my QP Exec GT a couple of years ago for the same money you are asking as a 2007/57 ZF Auto with circa 60k miles from memory. I wouldn't expect to sell that today in the current market north of £12k.

I am completely with you on that. I had reduced the price further down the thread but not in the main post.
I have reduced it now.

the tragedy is that I would buy your car in a heartbeat.

But I already own 2006 QP with the "terrible duo select". Not many people "get it" that the gearbox impart of the package that makes this car so rewarding and dual character. The auto might insulate buyer from an expensive clutch job, but there are plenty of 3k jobs on any used maserati.
FWIW my car needed a new clutch when bought by me, 5 years and 30,000+ miles ago. Last reading was 88% worn in 2016. Still working exactly as my first drive.

That is the amazing bit. The clutch is only to be changed when it's completely gone. The clutch readings are estimates and for guidance only. I did read somewhere the reading could be +-10% either way.
And the clutch replacement is cheaper on my QP. It's only about £1500 in South England and possibly cheaper Oop north.
I love my car but family expansion and my greed for an Ariel Atom has forced me to put it up for sale.
Else it won't be going anywhere.

It's true, clutch readings are only estimates - I have had an instance where mine has had it's life expectancy INcreased from one year to the next - go figure ...

Was thinking about the clutch on mine, first replaced on 98k miles (I have all bills) and since I've put on 19k miles, and even now I find it too severe on changes, esp when cold, so much so this cold weather I've opted for normal mode.

Having said that, can any other DS owner hear the mech that changes the gear at the back, I can in first and second, but at the moment I am in 'worry about all noises mode' for some reason...

I got the odd low rev tappet noise and what I can hear as a low rev rumble almost diesel - I recorded it for the opinions here but I can't hear it on the videos I made....

As I have said before this is a great car known by the forum. The exhaust system is unique and it's been well looked after and serviced which can be rare. You could buy one a few K cheaper and have to pay out 1000's.....At 12.5k it's not much money for a great car. It's just a shame the clutch wear isn't lower as I think that would be the decider for some Sommi even if it's a recommendation. Problem is if you did it then you may as well sell for 9/10k with what you spend.......I have no doubt though that this is one of the nicest QP's for sale at 12k.....There are some real unloved unserviceable dogs for sale in this price range.

Thread Bump and with new realistic price drop....sort of.
I need to sell this on and happy to discuss any scenarios where common ground can be found for a successful sale.
The QP is now scheduled as usual for its next service and MOT at AV engineering in mid March.
It may need a tyre or two to pass which I will get done along with any other work that comes up.

The QP has done less than 2k miles since last service but has been regularly used. The clutch wear reading will be closer to 100% than ever before but the car seems to run flawlessly. I have inquired and the clutch change at AV engineering will be around £ 3k. I am happy to share this cost half way with a new owner if it helps.

So, to sum is up:
Car can be taken now before service and MOT for £ 10k. No offers. This will suit those who wish can get things done cheaper or at their own leisure.
Car can be sold with full service and MOT in March 2020 for £ 11.5k OVNO.
Car can be sold with full service, MOT and new clutch in March 2020 for £ 13k OVNO.

I know market is not favourable but above is the best I can offer. Else I will continue to use my QP as normal for another year.
Please call me on 07795404125.

2BH I would keep it for now. I really struggled to sell my stunning 20O9 QP 4.7S after 7 months on the market with just over 50k miles on the clock, MoT, fully serviced, cermac pro 9h coated and a full service history, for not much more than what you're asking for your QP. And it had new GTS wheels fitted and the GTS grill as extras. So you may need to lower expectations or keep it for the long term.
The QP is a fantastic motor and they certainly don't deserve to be sold at give away prices but sadly this is where the market is now. This all said, I hope it works out for you.

I agree completely. I want to keep it. It has never let me down. I cherish every drive in it. But I do have to consolidate the number of cars I can have and with limited space it's becoming very difficult.
As you can see I put it up for sale last year and have kept it rather than give it to WBAC or let it go for peanuts. I may have to do it again but this would be the final time I can do it.

Seems bizarre that they are worth so little but the QP market is just flat, this would tempt me back into a Maser if I was still in the UK.

Bloody ****....Just looked back at the first post. Has it been that long. This is really sad as its a great example with a very rare full history. Someone must surely bite at this price.

If I had 8k I'd take it and cocoon it. in 10 years time it's worth 50k, I'm sure.....
