MSP flasher

My car seems to have developed a bit of a problem. First one in 2.5 years so shouldn't complain.

I picked up younger daughter from Heathrow llast Saturday and had to drive through some pretty horrendous rain. Joining the M25 with a quick spurt on the loud pedal, the power cut off and the MSP light flashed on and off for several seconds. Seemed to sort itself out once the rain stopped, but it has since happened again since then a couple of times when it hasn't been raining.

I suspect it is due to dirt on the ABS sensor or a damp/dirty ABS connector on one of the wheels. Are these easy to get to? I thought I'd try to sort it myself rather than take it in. I'm off to Europe in a month and don't much fancy a breakdown , so any pointers will be gratefully received.

BTW - the problem seems to be worse after traversing some of UK's finest pot holes, so I suspect porr connectivity is the culprit.
TIA

Drop Mike Roberts a PM, he told me a while ago about the ABS rings on the rear hubs, cant remember the exact prognosis, but it rung a bell when I read your thread.

Thanks. I think I'll pop it down to Grimaldi's. It has performed faultlessly over the last few days, but that'll be down to it using Italian electricity I expect.

One thing though - I did take it to CPT 2 weeks ago for a wheel balance and have read somewhere that this can cause problems with sensors when the car is lifted. Hope that's all it is.
