I guess he scenario is. Yeah. Peace at last. 2 years later it’s a different annex of another country with borders to Russia with the same scenario and rinse and repeat.

Yes it did. Just no one did anything as militarily Ukraine were a non entity. Which is why since then they have been receiving training from nato. And yes. Exactly what I said above has happened. Rinse and repeat. Bear in mind there wasn’t really a conflict in 2014. If they had reached Kyiv in 3 days as Putins professional strategists forecasted I guess the same would have happened again. And then again. And then again.

I still can't suss out Germany's er...position. Esp. in context of Poland/Hungary/Italy...and now Sweden...the new Autocratic Bloc...I mean, it can't be out of nostalgia for the old USSR. So...?

Yes...but as far as I know, he still has to eat, drink, and use the restroom...he still travels...
I can't say where or when, but...a certain clandestine service was able to extract a phone from a residence, wire it, return it, and blow the head off of someone in a "secure" compound when he answered a ring...

But I echo final statement.
In a war, there is always propaganda on both sides. No one from the people listens to the propaganda from the other side to get some of the truth because the West censored the information given by the East (why?) and the East by the West (we know why). Indeed we are supposed to be stupid regarding politics.
An example: today's comments skilfully mixed with facts by Steve Rosenberg Russia Editor BBC news but not giving Putin's introductory speech at the signing ceremony where he 'offered' to negotiate.
