Can still do exactly that with my local MOT station. Have a large viewing window in front of the test area and they let me come and look over the underside whilst it’s on the ramp. Having a good relationship with your tester is a godsend!
I believe you are not that far from me, although I could be wrong, but would be interested to know the name of the MOT garage.
To add a bit of thread drift, if the Norfolk Coast meet goes ahead this summer which car will you bring now the MC has gone?

I use a guy on the outskirts of Kings Lynn called Sean Hagen. When we first moved here in 2013, I needed a locking device for our heating oil tank welded up and went to him purely by chance. He did it same day and refused payment and it went from there....

I still have to get main dealer or specialist service stamps for some of my cars, but Sean does all the MOT’s and straightforward stuff that doesn’t need specialist diagnostics and charges £40 per hour + VAT!

Depends on weather and location but I am lucky to have a few to choose from for the meet. Aston, Bentley or new GT40 that will be ready and delivered mid March. I’m also suffering convertible withdrawal symptoms for coast drives so may have an Alfa Spider or Fiat Barchetta by April. Look forward to a beer or 2 in Wells or Holkham etc.

There should be the classic car concours weekend back on at the Hoste in Burnham Market in May which I normally attend as well.

Thanks for the reply, that's useful info.Yes I am looking forward to a beer or two down the Norfolk Coast. Normally head for somewhere in the Thornham to Brancaster Staithe area but I am guessing you won't be able to move down there once lockdown has ended.
Don't know which Alfa Spider you are thinking of, I have a 1998 916 2 Lt which has very low miles, they are a great fun drive, no it's not for sale but you are welcome to try it to get an idea what they are like.
