Bloody ****, the Cat and Fiddle road i am on about claimed the lives of 9 Bikers last year however they all died by riding to fast, i am not a biker myself but IMO, you ride a bike at break neck speeds, then i dont have the sympathy for them as they put themselves and other motorists in danger, the people i feel sorry for are their family relatives.
GSF1 we have not spoken before so i say this with a little regret...
I would hazard a guess that most if not all accidents either were driving too fast or riding too fast for personal ability or road conditions, and are likely purely a loss of control at an area of say adverse camber or poor road conditions, missjudging the bend (usual one) or just riding/driving a little too ast for the weather conditions..but of the 3 accidents i have had in my biking days every one was cased by someone pulling out of a side road in front of me and every mate i lost was hit by another vehicle who "just didn`t see them".

This attitude could quite rightly be extended to any of the more agressive drivers on the roads and shows a certain limited intellect and understanding .
I have had the pleasure of both bikes and cars as sources of fun and why should a car driver have the right to drive at breakneack speeds and a biker not? in a vehecular impact the car will always be the most lethal and the biker will rarely walk away from an accident unscathed but a car driver may.
Even for a 17 year old you show a lot of more adult understanding in most things...so really this sort of blinkered attitude is not becoming of you.
You need to be a little more understanding GSF1,a bike is one great bit of kit and if someone deos drive into you its not your wing or bumper its your legs.
but remember the bike is faster and more agile and certainly smaller than any gransport or GT.
with on average 0-62 in 2.8 seconds or less and a top speed of 190+.
