Morning All

So was heading over to Marios for him to take a look at lights coming on like christmas warning me of impending doom, also to take a look at why Park OFF light still keeps coming on and rear handbrake sounds like engaged whilst driving but can't get in the car, used the key and thought hmmmm this sounds like a dead battery and yep there is no life to start her.

Left a message for Marios but has anyone got the AA to fit a new battery before, do they have suitable high quality ones ? Im a full on AA member of 10+ years so they will come out, but before I start to let them near Ive read about not jump starting the car and thus want to make sure they don't do anything stupid and Im going to assume being a 2008 with less than 15K miles on when I bought it she hasn't had a battery change from factory.

Where is the battery ? How can I tell if original fit ?

Sorry to hear of your woes - the battery is in the boot under the two covers in the centre of the floor. The specification of the battery is in the owner manual so you should check with the AA what spec they are going to fit but yes, after 7 years the battery probably has given up the ghost, especially as your car has had such little use.

Do you have Marios mobile number too?

Thanks stuart

Yep just spoke to him, called AA and going to check the manual see what spec. I tend to do short local runs and then some long runs once a month to Manchester, Ive got a feeling the battery hasn't been changed since factory but going to check, Im hoping this is the cause of the sensor lights all going crazy last few weeks....

Still need 2 new tyres on the rear though lol

Yes, it could well be the cause of the warning lights but once Marios has plugged it in, all will be revealed - good luck

This is why they need to be either left on Ctek or driven at least four times a week!

More than likely the battery, hence the light show, all circuits down on power so screaming at you...HELP..!! I just got 2 new rears, chose Michelin Pilot Super Sports, have thrashed them ******* corners and they hang on quite well so far..!!

Yep I'm getting the michellins on the rear as well, should have got on the front but to late now. In midst of tracking a battery down not looking like today which is a pain.

Bosch S6 or Yuasa are the best in my experience. The original would've been a Fiamm.

Hi Stewart - the AA changed my battery for a Yuasa one - charged around £150 and it came with a 5 yr warranty. Great service - a no brainer to use them.

Regards.

The clamp should undo and lift off so that you can get the battery in..!! Yuasa are good batteries..!!

Just had a Yuasa Black unlimited fitted for 150, runs ok and no errors apart from stupid transmission problem see dealer, park off light coming on. was hoping that would have been sorted with battery lol.

Going to Marios anyway for this and rear tyres, but have to be next week now. Day off taken up with battery.
