Modern Classics magazine ceasing?

Real shame. Magazines seem to be really suffering in general, notice Q magazine folded this week. MC was the only car mag I bought regularly. I do think mags offer something you can’t get online and I feel the same about print media in general... online content is just not the same for me. Anyway Nayf hope you can find an interesting new outlet for your talents, and good luck

I agree. My Car subscription came free as a perk with my Bank account, but these days there is little to interest me.

it’s either a road test of the latest limited production Hypercar that’s over £1M but all sold anyway, or a group test of the latest electric or hybrid cars of a particular type such as city runarounds or SUV’s etc.

MC was far more interesting and relevant to me and I hope it (or something like it) resurfaces.

Ditto... almost word for word my response. Really sorry to hear this Nathan, hope you quickly manage to move onto something equally rewarding

Sorry to hear this Nayf, hope you find something to take its place soon.

It's sad but not a suprise. I used to buy all the car magazines but haven't for years. When everything is on line at your finger tips magazine sales have been hit for many years now. I read that the rock magazine Kerrang has stopped as well.

that's a real bummer and best of luck Nayf, I'm a mag man and loved MC you just cant beat flicking the pages of a magazine whilst relaxing after a hard day, not for me all this on line stuff, been buying car mags for the past 40 years and will carry on as long as they are still being printed

Really fed up with this....was the only magazine that I genuinely read every word. Such a shame. Keep up the good work freelancing Nayf and keep us posted on where your working. Cheers Ian

Yep spoke to Nayf at the weekend after I saw the news. Sorry to hear as a subscriber it is a real sad ended and the fact is that people pulled advertising so it can't continue.

Well done Nayf on creating a great magazine and I look forward to seeing your next venture!

Shame, used to always buy car mags, got CAR for many years from late 70’s to early 00’s, stopped getting that, got EVO for years from first one until a few years back, stopped that too. Plus lots of other random stuff that took my fancy, including motorbike stuff.

Had stopped getting them all really until Modern Classics, have all of them bar 3 or 4 I think, easily the best current mag for me.
Must be my age.
At least the joists in the house can breath a sigh of relief!

Another subscriber here who will be sad to see the magazine go.
Always turned to Nathan's articles first. Well he is an Alfa man like me:)
I had an email offering me a change to CAR mag instead but I have requested the refund offer.
