Sunday 26 August - MITCAR - Midlands Italian Car Day at Arbury Hall near Nuneaton, CV10 7PX.
This event is organised by AROC and is usually well attended by Alfas, Abarth etc and a few Maseratis - usually a good event.
Gary.

Keep meaning to come along but with Oulton Park the day after I think I’d be pushing it.

Maybe next year.

I should be going to this tomorrow in the GranCabrio MC (as I'm still waiting for my Stelvio Quadrifoglio to arrive). Anyone else from here going to it?

I've not been before, do we just park anywhere, or are all the cars grouped together by marque?

Unfortunately, I've not been before either but looking at the photo's from previous years it looks like cars are informally grouped by marque and model.
Better pack the wellies as well looking at the weather

Well the M6 and the weather got the better of me - sat in traffic at Stafford for ages before thinking this is a bit dumb. Hope those that went survived the muddy field OK..
Ah well - there's always next year - off to Oulton Park now

By all accounts the weather did have an impact and those that did make it started to leave early. A shame as it is normally a good event, always next year

There were still over 200 cars despite the weather, so a really good turn out TBH. But yes, the weather was appalling, and the event finished early as cars left early, not due to the event being poor, but purely because the weather was atrocious. I'm glad I went though - my 1st MITCAR event, and I'm sure I'll go again in the future.
N.B. Car-wise it was mostly Alfas, but there was also a good turnout by Abarth and Fiat owners. There were only 4 Masers in total, 1 Ferrari, and 1 Lancia (IIRC).

Not suprised by the Alfa count, it is run by some key members of the East Mids AROC Club but they normally get a really good turn out of other Italian stuff but I guess the weather kept the exotics tucked away

Yeah, I was expecting a large turnout of Alfas, but didn't expect them to be as many as there were (c/w other marques).
It's a shame there were less exotics. Having said that, it did mean that my GranCab MC won the 'Italian Exotic' award :numberone::crazy:

There were more Lancias - a Delta 16v and a Delta Evo, plus a New Delta. There was a Montecarlo and a Thema Turbo too.

I must have missed them as I didn't get round to that side of the field until later in the day when some of the cars had already left! :as001 (2):
