Had some meetings with my team and my boss today. The subject of the Jaaaaaaag came up.

I sold the GT because I wasn't perceived to be in Nottingham enough. No sooner do I get the Jaaaaaag sorted than we have a non essential travel ban imposed. So now I don't have a GT and the reason for not having a GT has evaporated.

I have seldom felt so much like exploding at my team and my 'boss' . I didn't. But it was hard.

I miss my bloody car!

That is all (no sympathy required, I have privilege and benefit but by damned that stings)

Not really freedom of choice. I made a decision to do what the company was desirous of in the (selfish) interest of enhancing my career prospects. The downside of that was killing the GT up and down the M1 every week. Losing money hand over fist on it <shrug>

You can bet, though, that said ban won't last forever, or something else will change. Keep the Jag for daily duties and get the Maser for special occasions* and those daily duties that you fancy doing with a bit more style and panache.

I empathise Chris, if I have to leave this job in 2 weeks, looking likely, I will post an explanation on this thread explaining why. I’m willing to bet I’ve the most unique job loss situation.......ever.....

Just in case this does happen, I’ve put feelers out and been offered a role to start on 2nd October. Wanted me earlier but I’ve an Italian trip in way. Said this dirty word tho : Staff, what is that all about. So at least I’ve something lined up should I have to leave Denmark.
