mileage - does it really matter

I looked at an alfa spyder just before last xmas. everything was great but the roof would'nt go all the way down. the guy said it was just a sensor playing up. but it put me right off it.

Yeah, you see that loads. "blah blah, easy cheap fix" - well why havent you fixed it? If you cant be bothered, what else havent you done?

If its something expensive then i can understand the seller not being able to fix it hence selling but when its a minor problem and they dont then thats either lazyness or theres something worse being hidden

I can't believe I am hearing this from two Maserati owners..... Sensors are a way of life. Some days they work, others they don't.

i know my cars not perfect arnie but i dont expect to buy absolutely perfect 2nd hand car but pretty close to that as poss

sensors do stop working regularly but if its an easy fix i expect the owner to say he will fix it or "itll be fixed upon sale" not just "its minor, you can do it on a rainy sat" for example
