Yep, agree.....but it would have more miles on it for more pennies...……..I want an E400 but they are 6/7k more than the one I've found.....May wait but don't want to take my car over 100k as its always harder to sell......We shall see.

You’ll kick yourself for not getting the V6 diesel.

My Dad has had a 6cyl BMW of one form or another for I reckon 20 years. After he drove it through a puddle last year he bought a CLS with the V6 diesel as he liked my e class so much.

I’d take my diesel e class over my old 540i any day.

Don't disagree buddy. I drove a pre face lift car and it was a great engine. Only thing with the 250 is that I have it in me C class and it's still a good engine. Did think it would be so good in an E class due to weight but performance figures are the same as my C class but strangely is better on fuel and car tax is cheper as well which suprised me. This car is a daily drive doing 74 miles a day on the motorway so I don't really need the quickest car in the range. Doesn't need to be good on fuel though as currently I am getting anything from 60 mpg on the way to work and 53 on the way home............

Anyway still not decided and may still go for a 350 as the 250 has been sold......I can't believe the difference in PX prices as we'll.....Main dealers who would want to retail the car because of the miles offer silly money as all they do is go on an auction price. Specialists who would retail the car are far more realistic.

There is a 2012 CLS 350 in Bristol that looks decent. May take a look next week when off. Seems a lot of luxury for the money.

My Dad’s always seems a step up from my e-class even though they’re pretty much the same car, both are the old shape though.

I know what you mean...Although interiors are basically the same the CSL feels like it's a step up. I would have to have a face lift Coupe but CLS would need to be 2012/2013. CLS face lifts have held their value better than the Coupe. Saying that I take it the CLS face lift came out later than the coupe face lift ?

Andy,
If you haven’t sold it in a week come back to me...if I can’t sort the daughters Corsa. I may be interested in taking this and giving her my Golf.
Coil pack and couple of other bits arrive Wednesday for the Corsa.

If going diesel the V6 is the one to get, the 4 pot diesels are chuggers. Ultimately the E400 petrol would be the one to have in an E class coupe. Bear in mind that the E class coupe is based on the C class floor pan but with nicer interior so size wise its close to a c class

it’s the front end I have always loved on these. One of Mercedes best front end design for me.
