Merak SS getting hard to start

I did discover 2 disconnected wires but the wiring looks original and I cannot recall them from when I installed the electronic ignition 4 years ago. They may be red herrings. The colours are grey and grey/black if anyone knows where they are from?

I've looked at a couple of Merak SS wiring diagrams and it looks like these might have run between the electric aerial and the switch to operate the aerial. A Previous owner upgraded the radio cassette some years ago and the aerial operation now works off the radio on/off knob instead.

Quick Update after nearly a week. I tried the car today having not started it for nearly a week. It started straight away, so I'm hoping that the new battery, coils and resistors, together with cleaning and reseating all of the connections might have done the trick.

I have just sprayed the resistors and their mounting brackets black to make the electronic ignition improvements less obvious visually. here are some after pics.
