Sale fell through on this one and the seller contacted me about it.

He's followed up again saying that there has been an inspection but the guy is making offers and would I like to make a bid. I'm just going to leave this one now.

Has anyone actually seen this car in the flesh? I am incredibly curious as to why it is still for sale yet has had so many people "make offers".

Ask him what the PPI showed up. I guess it would find something, it’s a 12 year old car after all. Depends if it’s just a few wear and tear items or 10k worth of big ticket jobs, all due at once.

Maybe it’s a good car and he’s just not prepared to drop as much as the offers he’s getting. It’s hard to say.

I don’t know if the ‘wots u r best price m8?’ texters target these type of cars!

Being in Northern Ireland must be a major barrier. People love the look of it online, make an offer 'in principle' and then realise they are looking at £200 in costs, just to go look at it. Mind you @Ebenezer went and got his in NI sight unseen and hasn't looked back.

PS, Eb, I was at SportsItalia yesterday - your car is nearly finished, they just need to pop back in the drivetrain, engine, suspension and interior.

In my experience, these ppi inspections arent worth the paper theyre written on, the intention is to pull up all defects no matter how minor to reduce the price, like worn wiper blades and stone chips....fine on a new mass produced car, but id prefer to take the opinion of a proper maserati specialist rather than someone more used to valuing nissan jukes. This car looks like a good buy on the face of it, the NI thing can work in the buyers favour. Hassle should mean money off
