I quite like it. Looks better than the 570/650/720/P1

The senna looks good and I liked the 12c

Is it just me or are all McLarens awful to look at?

And that paint colour! :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Love Mclarens.....I always think they look better in the flesh than in the press pictures.....The only one for me that doesn't look great is the Sienna.... I would have a 720s Spyder in my dream garage. I think they have taken the battle to Ferrari and there isn't a current Ferrari I would have over a McLaren.....Although its all irrelevant as I will probably never have that decision to make. Best car I've ever driven was a 12C Spyder.

Have to disagree with you there. McLaren's are so bland that they are almost anonymous.
I went to Motors by the Moat at Leeds Castle on Sunday where there were Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Porsches (no Maserati's sadly) and some McLarens.
The McLarens were almost universally ignored.

They're just so dull.

Love it!...not in that colour, granted. C'mon Maserati, pull your finger out, this is a direct competitor to your market/Alfieri

I like Mclarens but wouldn't buy one, partly because main dealers lose interest as soon as they're not very old, limited aftersales network and stellar depreciation plus I like cars which make a good noise. It's curious that the GT is the first one where they have bothered to make it sound good. This is a GT trying to take on the DBSS and the Conti GT. Just look at the interior with it's 'jewellery' and the swathes of leather (sourced from the same supplier as AM uses). I don't believe it will lure buyers away from either, but it may help attract someone who finds the 5 or 6 series too sporty and the 7 series too expensive. Although, have a look at 720 prices if you want to see depreciation in action.

Unfortunately, I don't like the look of this one. It has a look of the original Honda NSX about it to me. Which would be fine if it was a Honda NSX.

We all like different things my friend...Which is good really and variety is the spice of life and if we did all like the same we would all be sleeping with the same woman.....OK I know that happens in certain parts of the country but that's a whole different thread.

Certainly would have one over a DBSS Adam.......

The upside would be that you'd likely have £50k left in your pocket afterward. For the Macca money I'd be in a used F12. Or a Vanquish S. Or maybe a Portofino, that'd need a look. I'd certainly take a 720S for a spin and see if that whole mid-engined thing floats my boat or not. But I can't imagine that Macca would get a long hard look. Maybe it'll grow on me or in a different colour it might work.

I think it looks great, and if it really provides the usability and relaxing drive of a GT I think it will be their best seller.

£163,000 for a GT McLaren? I wouldn't pay more than £135k new!

It looks good, but what are McLaren doing that Maserati aren't? Simple they are fighting for their lives!
Racing hasn't gone too well recently but are argubly on the up, they are getting new sponsors in and the possibly the right personnel too. Automotive, the bit that makes these cars, is churning out model after model. The great thing is, that despite using the basic same chassis, engine and style, they are able to produce something desirable that SELLS.

I’m not sure it looks that good...like any other McLaren really.
Smart money goes Ferrari.

remember seeing the maclaren f1's driving around woking on road tests many moons ago, one got stacked at a roundabout whilst on a road test
