Have to say everytime I go to my dealer I've had a great experience at McCarrolls, Artarmon service team. Adriano and team have been very easy to deal with and if ever there's been a mistake it's made in my favour. No one has asked me to say this but thought good service deserves recognition.

Recently obtained a quote from McCaroll's.

Let's just say US$2200 for an annual service on a 08' GT didn't strike me as a fair price.

Dealers are unlikely to be competitive on out of warranty cars, well that’s been my experience over many years. I’m guessing you’ve got quotes elsewhere as well?

My observation is, unless it is a multi brand dealership so they can share their overheads over many customers, then the few Maserati customers are going to be hit hard. Who else do they have they can charge to keep the lights on?
By the way that is under Australian conditions with a small population and even fewer Maserati owners.

I am in Sydney every couple of months.

Seen a few Granturismos. I think I even saw a 4200? Last time.

Or maybe that was Melbourne?

Always drive past the nice car showrooms on the way to my hotel from the airport.

Might go and have a look next time I am in town. Are they browser friendly?

Ironically McCarrolls also do Alfa, Ferrari, Lexus, Toyota and other brands in their different sections at their Roseville service centre. Probaly doesn’t help they have a monopoly over Maser and Ferrari in the state so pricing is never going to be competitive versus independents. Interestingly there’s always at least 50 GT’s for sale in Australia, mind you we are only 24m people and our luxury cars are taxed to the hilt at import so our cars cost double most other countries. The tax was supposed to protect our car industry but now that Ford, GM and Toyota have all left the stupid tax has stayed!

Had my first year service for USD$700 recently, can’t really complain as I asked for an Alfa Giulia Q.V. as my service replacement car and they obliged. Have to say the Q.V. is one quick car, although the sound can’t compete with the GT.
